How did you guys miss me whining about missing out? :D

Wait a minute. That might have been the reason!

Definitely grab the tune, update your ECU to 04A71, and layer on OVT!

Any idea what issues will be caused by NOT updating your ECU? I can’t get a Toyota dealership in Denver to play ball, even with printouts OR offers of beer / other unmentionable favors.

It made a huge difference for me, and my Taco didn't have most of the issues that earlier ones had. OVT said that it is a better baseline for his tunes. There's a post about that somewhere.

Yes. There is a risk of bricking the ECU, but very small if using the OVT / Tactrix cable and Win7 or Win10 on a good laptop. Just the 1st Post in the MT Software Update thread.

Sorry though. If you were local, I would be more than happy to do it. I helped another TW'er when I loaded the update with a borrowed cable at the time.

I think he somewhat changed his policy on that recently?

    Oh! Good stuff.

I was thinking about sending the ECU to him for unbricking.

Yes. A decent discount including the cable. He did say that if someone needs just the software to contact him through the website. I think this was done due to the confusion between the hardware and software packages.

Maybe I'll look at fancy dump pipes or whatever they're called once the M/T tune gets the love it deserves ;)

    Just sayin.

I did also. 1.05 and the other promised improvements kicked me over the edge.

Time frame on any of the things we are working on right now is just "2019." There is extensive code changes being done. Not something that can be done quickly.

Regardless I think 1.05 and 1.05 FOB is a pretty solid option for the MT. The features we are working on for the future are things we'd like to improve, but are not really a "requirement" to meet our tuning goal.
