this is what I've been envisioning since the tune arrived. whatever it takes this has got to happen. @OVTune please get that valve open as early as possible. 2k or under and please try that on the dyno.

it means you'd want it above 1800rpm, and probably not under 1800.

Hey Guys, I haven't been following this thread too closely for a few months. Did we decide which version has the best highway MPG yet? 91 Base, 91 FOB, 87 Base or 87 FOB? Currently running 87 Base, which seems similar MPG wise as 91 Base. I switched from 91 Base to 87 Base when 91 hit $4.99/gallon here. I haven't tried either of the FOB tunes yet.

I started with 87 FOB, then 91 FOB, and now 87 Base. They all got about 20.5mpg, which is up about 0.5mpg.

A lot of folks say that FOB nets their best mileage records.

    OVtune $699
No Dyno to back up gains
Your truck is basically a guinea pig for R&D
Several years have passed and no final tune version with minor updates like other platforms
Cant trash talk OV tune or get banned
TW has about a total of 3,000 official OV Tune pages of comments from prospective buyers, a few users that no one has time to sift through.
Told OV tune guy this was poor marketing, he says everything is on his website
Go to website there are a few screen shots of dyno runs but none for 87 FOB or 87 Base for manual
    Eat a snickers
Pretty sure all we really need is a torque tune, but keep getting performance tunes and now a turbo build.

I was in your shoes early last year when none of the requested MT features were being worked or even discussed. That changed at the end of the year with 1.05, which is what earned my purchase.

I gave you the completely valid reason why FOB does not have a dyno sheet. We should see something about that after the work on OVT's new dyno from this weekend, if they got in an MT Taco.

87 Base is there on the website (Base is Base for both AT and MT):

    Roddy13,

No Dyno to back up gains - Sorry but false. We have many dyno sheets available, and document everything we do.
Your truck is basically a guinea pig for R&D - False again.
Several years have passed and no final tune version with minor updates like other platforms - Several years? We released our initial tune towards the end of 2017. This is not even 2 years.
Cant trash talk OV tune or get banned - False. But people do get a little annoyed when people do post things that are just blatantly false and are done just to get a rise out of people.
TW has about a total of 3,000 official OV Tune pages of comments from prospective buyers, a few users that no one has time to sift through.
Told OV tune guy this was poor marketing, he says everything is on his website - Everything regarding our product is on our website, including dyno results, information about the tune kit, video walk through, instructions, etc.
Go to website there are a few screen shots of dyno runs but none for 87 FOB or 87 Base for manual - Why would we provide dyno results for a tune that we don't advertise any gains for?
    Eat a snickers
Pretty sure all we really need is a torque tune, but keep getting performance tunes and now a turbo build.

I really don't mind criticism, many times it helps me see places that need improvement so that I can make improvements.
but practically the only thing you said that's accurate is we don't have 87 FOB dyno results.

Objectively what I posted is consumer (potential consumer) opinion. This is what I struggle with.

Lets get into the points above..... So are there no dyno gains anywhere with 87 FOB and 87 Base? If so why $699 is its just throttle reprogramming?

    Snickers?

    Torque tune?
