I was not thrilled with 87 fob for towing about 2000 pounds across Colorado, for what it’s worth....91 fob might be better. I truly hate the inconsistencies of these trucks!

I’ve pulled ~3500 lbs across Colorado a few times. Just gotta let it rev a bit and it’s not that bad. Once you are over 2500 RPM or so, I never had any issues. Towed pretty well with 1.04, I haven’t made the trek since then.

It wasn’t awful, it just didn’t shock and awe me the way some seem to make it out to do. Reversing the trailer was so much fun..

Yeah. Reverse sucks. ADM helps a lot and I just put in 2lo mod. Reverse is way too tall.

Just gotta keep the revs up higher when towing, although not as high as you do on the OEM tunes (I've towed with both 04B12 and B13, 2k - 5k lbs). Like @Shellshock says, stay above 2500rpm.

Luckily when it comes to towing in general however, I can use the wife's v8 4Runner if need be. Lol for that extra low end uumph

Just in case you folks missed it (smartly staying away from the Dev thread):

Tune switching will be done with the CC switch. If you jump back through @OVTune 's posts, there are a few more tasty details.

Also, for those that want help with the TSB tune update:

    - @PapaRee, Baton Rouge, LA
    - @tonered, Lynnwood, WA
    - @lapoltba, Stafford, CT
    - @ihatemytruck, Orange, CA
    - @mZiggy, El Paso, TX
    - @wahoobie, Suffolk, VA
    - @chittyrox, Indianapolis, IN
    - @Inferno__Taco , Milledgeville, Georgia

This list will probably only be updated in the Dev thread. Searching in that thread on the word 'volunteer' should get you there.

No problem. I am not sure what folks are doing that changes their System IDs. It might be some MFG updates? HP, Dell, etc.

Sweet. You should have no problems, but don't hesitate to ping if needed. I don't like that keygen file, but it works.:rofl:

Does anyone know if Mat is still planning on putting a MT on the dyno and tuning specifically for MT? Is that even still needed?

We would all like to hear his thoughts on driving and dyno'ing an MT as there are certain differences in our species. As far as we know, there was a schedule at one point to get a volunteer to @OVTune 's place, but it didn't happen because of scheduling or something. Unfortunately, it has been silent since.

I am amazed how good 1.05B FOB and 2.0 Beta is for us though without having an MT in hand.

What's the 'shared TIS', is it the same as what was linked to here: Software Update for the Manual!

That one still works as good as ever, but working versions of V14 have appeared. @lapoltba had a work around that got it to launch, but it would not allow the execution of CUW files. Not long after, a crack was found for the key and it is easier to install than V12. Both versions of V14 were downloaded from mega.nz and have been working great for me and several others. The keygen file is a little weird, but hey . . .

I have V14 shared on my Google Drive:

    Enjoy!

    Thanks!

So with the key crack V14 can now execute CUW files. Is that correct?

Man that's strange. My truck will rev match like a dream. I haven't noticed any of the dead throttle like on the stock tune. That shit was dangerous.

is there a way for you to take a video of this showing both the tach and your foot? and audio if possible. i agree with @lapoltba , but i also have never tried the 2.0 you got via DL from Mat. but if it's any indication,i do not want off this file (2.0 beta for dump tubes).
