2016 OVTune Tacoma 3.5L Manual Transmission / Engine ECU Reflash

I think I tried that one way back at 5k. It didn't clear the center stack reminder that popped up after I rolled over 5k. I could be wrong, but doing the Trip A thing seems to kill the 4,500mi and 5,000mi interval reminders in one shot.

 

that’s all I’ve done for the ones on the dash. The ones in the head unit you can turn off under maintenance - there’s a button to remove them all.

 

That won’t work on mine either.

 

I will dig in further.

Maybe I should just sell it? my work laptop hard drive was re-imaged, and I am not sure if I can use the registry file I received.

I have been having to commute for four hours everyday since august first, and also work 10-12 hours each day. Plus, I have three toddlers. I just can’t find any time to tend any of the mods that I purchased.

Does Matt allow re-sale?

I think if you rerun the reg file it should work. If you have everything I would definitely install rather than sell at a loss.

Ditto I found shifting at higher rpms gets a smoother shift and with less lugging in the higher gear.

 

Mat said there were some slight adjusments to tip in for AT folks. Wonder if there will be an update for the MT, for those who want to try it...

 

I cannot believe how 1.05 FOB 87 Performance Tune has transformed my truck... The increase in MPG, instant torque when I hit the pedal, “pull” even in 6th gear below 50mph, and the list goes on. Matt is amazing. I can’t imagine how it can be even better with 2.0!

Have you tried 91 octane tune?

 

My normal shifts are around 35-4k. Heavy tires but she still gets up and goes. And I do shift 5-6k a couple times a day on my commute thru the canyons. Just for giggles

 

I have not! Probably will play with that in the future. I’m content with 87 now.

 

I received a shipment notification two days ago with tracking number. However, UPS tracking says it is yet to be handed over to UPS. What is the usual time between ordering and receiving the kit? It appears to be longer than what it took me to buy the damn truck.

 

It depends when Mat has the inventory and gets out to the UPS drop off. He's said in the past that he can't get UPS to pickup at his shop.

It is Ground shipping speed after that.

The best thing that you can do now is send in your System ID to get the REG file.

 

Yep we are pretty far out, outside UPS pick up reach, also moving and building our larger shop, catching up orders as fast as possible.
