    Talk to me bro.

    I have 04B41 and as posted all I have run so far is 1.05 FOB 91. So I am largely ignorant of the other tunes. BUT it feels and pulls REALLY nice. Esplain less than stellar.

    On my truck -

    1. Stuttering or short hesitations in quick succession, moderate to heavy load -ususally in the 2500 ~ 3200 range;
    2. Torque hole in approx the same RPM range, 2000-3200. It just doesn't pull like it "should", or should I say how I remember my '16's performance;
    3. Throttle response went very "mushy" after a few hundred km, to the point where blip for downshift became almost a stomp it to the floor affair again.

    I may just flash it to stock and wait for 2.0 TBH.

    Almost sounds like something else ain't right. The only change after 400+ miles or so, idle SEEMS a bit louder than when I first loaded. Drives just the same as day one of tune, even same gas mileage. That said let me concentrate on that RPM range.

    Nah dude, don't go looking for problems lol. These trucks are finicky bastards, and can be quite different from one another as we've seen since the beginning of this fairy tale. If you drove my truck it would be very apparent what's going on compared to yours.

    Edit: I guess after cleaning up the house I'll get under the hood and check the obvious things out. This truck only has 3200km on it, and of course no CELs/codes. The only thing I've really wrenched on is the accumulator. :notsure:

    Are you currently running any of our flashes or is this your experience on stock?

    The dealer never did anything to my ECU. There was no documentation on the paperwork outlining any TSB's or ECU updates or flash.
    Also, I checked the first few times. When I tried to "read", I got an error, which is the indicator that OVUNE is still place. The driving experience and MPG remained unchanged before and after the visit.
    If there is any doubt, you can just flash the desired file again when you get home.

    Hi all (first post woo!). Looking for some general info on the availability of the OVtune for my truck. I've been lurking this thread for a few days now, figured it's time to jump into the fray. I know some of this info may be hidden in the earlier pages of the thread, but 700 pages seems a little daunting to go through looking for info, even with the search thread. Thanks for humoring me.

    I have a bone stock '18 MT and have sorta just come around to the realization that I hate how it drives. I've had trucks before, and MT vehicles before, but never in the same package, so I figured the Tacoma's generally sucky driving experience was just how things were. The more I look around and see people noticing the same quirks as I do, the more I'm realizing maybe I should try and change the status quo with my truck. Enter OVTune! Yaaaaay! But their webstore is down and they're moving, nooooo! Unfortunately I now have the burden of knowledge, and every time I drive my truck around all I can focus on is how painful it is to drive. I see there's a lot of support during this transitionary period for people who already have the tune, which is awesome. I'm curious if there's any kind of ETA on new tunes for people who are only just becoming enlightened. Thanks!

    he, Mat, is in the process of moving his outfit so is more or less out of pocket for a bit. keep checking back, and definitely get into this thread at least for a daily check to see what's going on. this is the hub for news for MTs.

    while you wait we would all suggest you do your ADM. or get it done by someone..

    The tune is awesome, no doubt. But, if you haven't yet, do the ADM. This will hold you over until the tunes are available again.

    No issues seen here at the dealer. Not even a comment on how well it rolls.

    Bah! Gas was up $0.12/gal. So, I stuck with 87.

    That is crazy. Maybe once things settle down, OVT can take a close look at your logs?

    Yeah I flashed a 04B13 2.0 Beta 87 file on the Ginger, ran like a dream (best it ever ran).

    That's why I REALLY want a crack at 2.0 for 04B41 lol.
