The worst your dealer could do is to inadvertently flash you back to stock. They aren’t looking for a different tune and they don’t know it’s there.

TRD Exhaust, Mobtown bolt on sliders and aluminum tailgate reinforcement, Reverse lights changed to yellow turn signals, LED pods added for reverse, ADD W1 oil catch can, Total Chaos bed reinforcement, rear diff breather to taillight mod, 12" combo led bars behind lower grill wired to high beams, Toyota led bed light kit, 400 watt anytime mod, SSO slimeline front bumper.
I'm waiting to do the 2wd low range mid and have all the parts. It's there a way too get to the lower control panel on the dash without taking the whole dash apart?

You can pop the radio bezel off, pull the top part of the panel to the right of the steering wheel under your key out, and the HVAC controls will pop out. You can access that switch location pretty easily.

If you're installing the 2LM harness you will have everything else apart anyway so it's easy to get to.

Like you I was hesitant and going to pass on the ADM as well, my clutch felt pretty good though it felt buffered. Read some more, seems the ADM might improve clutch life so I did the mod for about $15. Clutch performance did improve and feels like my former 85 and 1st Gen.

Glad I did the ADM and I suggest replacing the OEM gear oil in the MT over to Redline MT-90 75W90 synthetic.

I'm planning to squeeze the trigger on OVT in December, Santa better be pushing his elves on overtime!

Aw man, you leave this thread for a month or so and come back and ooohhh booyyy. I just went and looked at the list of beta 2.0s and my head was spinning. Can't wait for everything to be nice and cleaned up in the flash manager.

I don't mind waiting, shit now I'm all excited about 2wl, gotta do the adm, and in the meantime install my lift and 4.88s!

    Xoxo

Edit - even though its a bit confusing to get into, I will say the OVTune is still worth buying. Maybe, just maybe, matt has too many irons in the fire, maybe its growing pains, but it'll get to a nice polished state some day.

Hey guys, you think an entry level 200-$300 laptop will be ok for this OV tune stuff, bought the hand held, yet I might need one to mess with it.(updates, future tunes, etc)

Just can't wait for OV's store to come back online and get this tune. My truck is at the dealer currently getting the creaky clutch TSB done, and I have a newer Nissan Frontier rental in the meantime. It's hard to believe, but the Nissan drives like an absolute dream compared to my Tacoma. It feels like a race car. I'm pretty sure it's a base model, and even it has power seats. Shameful. That being said, the shape and stance of it is so weird that you basically can't see the hood in the standard driving position, and it feels like you're driving a cab-over truck. I wouldn't trade them, but it certainly brings the 3rd gen Tacoma's shortcomings into sharp relief...

Those 2nd gen Frontiers always had a bit of pep in their drivetrains.

Well the HH is in and guess I'm part of the 04B41 crew... Waiting on proper instructions from the man to see what comes next. Cool to see others have been getting theirs too - on the other OV thread. Any open tune HH users here?

Thought I would use it a ton, never touched it in real scenarios. But I'm fully locked plus maxtrax so not much need.
