I'm interested in the "tune on the fly" dealio. I seen with the auto the terrain switch is used. How will it be incorporated into the manual?

Crawl control buttons were ditched in favor of using the Cruise Control buttons.

There's a new TSB for the clutch with new part numbers. TSB-0112-19.

For the 10min it takes to flash the TSB tune at home, I wouldn't waste my breath at the dealer. Since you have OVT, you have 90% of what you need to flash it.

i am also letting my squeak and groan increase so i can try the new TSB in the next few weeks. right now i'm just trying to find exactly how to reproduce it in all conditions. because the conditions seem to change. i want to tell the SA how to reproduce it. so that when he doesn't i can tell him again how to before the next time he doesn't so i can tell him again.

just getting ready for the dealer experience yo.

Mine clicks and slightly squeaked a bit last winter. It went away as soon as the heater got some temp in it. What about full blast a/c on the floor vents?

I've been running 2.0 Beta a while now. Since upgrading tires to 33" skinnies second gear can be a bitch for me. Lugging, jerky. I used a Dremel to mod the accumulator, which changed the feel of the clutch, but not so drastic.

Does anyone else experience 2nd gear dead spot and lugging with larger tires?

I'm going to flash back to 87fob to compare

I am running 265/75/16 e plys and also did the dremel mod. Second gear in mine is insane,it pulls like a mofo,no stumbling, jerkiness at all,I had it up to nearly 80mph the other day while checking my latest exhaust mod. Running the 2.0 91 dump tube Beta file.

No doubt it pulls hard in 2nd..
I guess I wasn't to clear on my post. If I don't rev 1st high enough around town, 2nd gear shift is dull and lifeless until it picks up. Sometimes I'm slipping the clutch to smooth it out, other times without slipping it will be smooth, but still dull. Other times.... Well I'm shifting at higher revs lol

Yeah I do that sometimes. The gap from 1-2 is too big imo. Kinda sucks but it’s way better now than it ever was on the factory tune

In my experience with the Betas, it was very consistent and smooth. Less torque than FOB, but nothing that 2nd or 3rd struggled with at any RPM.

I am back on FOB for other reasons. That bottom end torque is very nice, but it isn't a limitation of Beta in my mind.

I tend to shift at higher rpms for the most part but yes if I shift in lower rpms it takes a bit for second to catch up. I feel this is completely normal and to be expected YMMV

The 1-2 gap is obvious, and the cause I'm sure. Just bringing my issue to the thread to see what others have to say. Before skinny 33s I was running 265/75r16 C load, it wasn't so much an issue then. If anything, it was a lot smoother.

I'm planning to flash back to 87fob tonight. I feel beta is missing that torque curve off idle.

Did you delete your accumulator yet? Id start there, and when you go to refill use some good dot 4 and make sure to bleed the clutch line pretty good. Its not perfect after that but at least makes the pedal more consistent. You still get that gravelly feeling every once in a while but not as bad.

Finally got around to doing the accumulator delete mod. What a difference! If anyone is on the fence, DO IT! Shoutout to @Trident904 for his kit.

no substitute for spinning up the motor going into second. every tune I've tried required it. big gap from 1 to 2 and the tq isn't there. gotta spin up to get it.

this is where the value of that ADM shows. you'll have a spun up motor and that's where your clutch feel let's you modulate the power to keep it smooth.

almost 3 years in and I'm about 98% consistently smooth. lots of practice to get that right. and yeah it pulled super hard and i can spin tires second gear no problem.
