So weird I get none of this on my 2019 Sport. Both of you 2018.

    92 FOB

BUT I do acknowledge much more torquey feeling when it's cold out. Like now.

I had the same issues running those files on my '19 but others do not. That's why I said probably lol.
In addition, the throttle went really soft and I had stuttering in the 2500-3200 range.
I'm back on the stock tune until 2.0 drops, as although it sucks ass at low RPM and has the dreaded ruh ruh ruh ruh in 2nd at ~1500 (moderate throttle), it stutters less in the mid range.
Unless I'm doing something wrong with FM, there are no 1.05 base files for 04B41 to be had. Again, there's no point in REALLY beating this dead horse as 2.0 is just around the corner.

The 2.0 beta file I had the pleasure of running on my '16 (04B13) was awesome, truck never ran better.

Here's an observation about this '19 not related to OVT...

The gearbox has been like butter since day one off the lot. No crunchy synchros, no refusing to go into reverse or first. Glass.
The '16 was the complete opposite. It took quite a while and a lot of km before that transmission smoothed out. RIght up to the day I traded her, you'd still get a noticeable "chunk" going into third.

I don't know what Toyota did along the way, but the '19 is definitely better in this regard.

Do they all have cone synchro 1-3?

    Main guess is fluid.

RC-62F has triple cone synchro sets in 1-3... unless they changed the design along the way (I don't see Toyota doing that).

The Beta files definitely ran better. Just that FOB off idle is the shit for me.

It could be a lot of work on tolerances and such.

I have not tried learn value resets, only when I flash. That sounds like a bandaid. It just learns the old dumb toyota tune. As MOC221_ describes it... 2nd gear low rpm ruh ruh ruh ruuuuhh ruuuaahhhhh lol

It will only do it once or twice driving side streets to and from work now that's its colder out. When engine is warm 87FOB rips.

So I just 1.05 for the first time Tuesday and I'm not sure if I'm just getting used to the way my truck drives now but it seems like the tune isn't as prominent as it was when I first flashed. Does the truck relearn back to stock?

aren't you on base 87? if so, nobody wants to talk about base 87 performance. up to 91 or something, give it some time again.

Happened reliably to me coming home after work, turning onto a street shortly before my house. Truck is warmed up by that point. I also felt the throttle was difficult to modulate, the lightest breath on the pedal while trying to maintain a steady cruise was enough to get bucking and driveline lash.

No complaints on 1.05 87 base tune. FOB didn't seem that much "different" or "better," anyway. Still anticipating FOB 2.0 and hoping it works smoothly for me.

2018 again. "bucking and driveline lash." I mean that's not something I would miss. So fascinating - what the heck is different with our engines????

Same shit here, pants on and off, doesn’t make a difference, the thing just doesn’t drive consistently. Tried all the little tricks in this thread, even the butthole thing on page 37.
