This may have been covered, but do we expect the 2.0 version to greatly reduce "rev hang?"

You mean you don't like shifting from 3rd to 4th and waiting an eternity for the revs to drop down to a reasonable level, to try and match the speed to the revs, to produce a smooth shift, then decide at this point you should just go ahead to 6th since you coasted enough to match that speed by the time the revs drop down?

    Whats wrong with you

Rev hang is the shit! 2nd to 5th shifts work out great.

I have doubts 2.0 will completely take it away. I guess we will find out.

Ohhh I did figure out a way to counter rev hang early on when the truck was new. Before a high rpm shift, left off the gas earlier than you normally would driving any other manual.

Not sure if sarcastic or just hates shifting gears. Lol.

I spun 1st nearly to redline a few times today (first time after 1,000 break in miles). On the first run I noticed the revs stayed sky high. Shifted into 2nd and rah rah rah, lots of bucking going on lol. So dramatic.

Did the whole ordeal all over again to make sure I didn't just have my foot resting on the gas slightly between shifts or something. Nope. I didn't. Third time with the whole ordeal all over again and I gave a long pause after revving out 1st and then shifted into 2nd. Better, but man if you need to go fast this is no good. I'd like to see the rev hang cut in half at least. That would suit my driving style best. (No I don't redline it daily driving lol).

Ha! Sarcastic I guess. But really, sometimes that hang is benificial to lazy 2nd to 5th driving.. For me anyway.

There is less hang in lower rpms running 87fob tune. I'm not up in the revs very often. I gave up sports cars for a reason.. Lol

1 to 2 shifts are awful, especially if you get on it. You take off and it feels like an eternity until you can shift to second

I was not impressed with my attempts to get into 2nd smoothly after racing into 5-6k territory in 1st lol.

    Lower rpms being...?

Yeah, I don't expect sports car here. Haha. Just saying it would be more driveable without the revs hanging so absurdly high. I think it would be more enjoyable to drive this way. The truck is slow and I have accepted that. I just think less rev hang would help smooth out the quick shifting between gears I like to do vs pressing the clutch, waiting, slowly rowing into the next gear, and finally getting the hell on with it. :bikewheelie2:

Well that's two of you suggesting that. Guess I should try it. Still would be better without this quirk!

Screen shots of what you are seeing are helpful in troubleshooting. From memory, you need to enter the NA key, finish the setup with garbage information and then close TS. When you open it again it shouldn't ask you for anything, and at the bottom left it should give you the version # and the # of days left of your "subscription".

Also double check the version installed. it should show on the bottom left even if it is asking for a key.

What you have a screen shot of is exactly what I am seeing. Every time I enter in the key for my Techstream and hit ok, that window closes and re-opens.

I have tried that multiple times with multiple different keys, and the when I do and hit ok the window just closes and reopens.

Just want to make sure I understand your sequence here.

You open TS and get that window. Run the "techstream-act.exe" file.

    You select option 2 here:
    upload_2019-12-2_21-32-59.jpg

Then copy and paste that Software ID in your screenshot here:
    upload_2019-12-2_21-34-4.jpg
Then copy the NA key from here (make sure you don't also select the "key:" part)
    upload_2019-12-2_21-35-33.jpg

    Then click "OK".

    Close TS, and then re-open.

Just completed installed the 1.05 Base tune and loving it. I wanted to start there before progressing to the Performance tune and onward. Very impressed with the initial results.
