The performance tune for the MT is not called Performance, but FOB. It is very enjoyable.

I can't get the key generator to even appear, much less work. Got to be something in Windows defender I'm not turning off before downloading and extracting.... :frusty:

Yes. You have to turn off antivirus. It sucks, but I haven't seen anything bad happening afterward. Just good stuff.

Just disable it completely. It’s worthless anyway

Yep. I've had it "quarantine" perfectly good DLLs. And by that I mean delete completely. PITA.

I agree about disabling it, but I don't think it is worthless. I haven't had any virus issues with it and trying some scans by other companies hasn't found anything hiding. But, Defender always seems to find stuff hiding when activating it instead of other programs. :notsure:

there’s a reg key you can set that kills it forever. Reboot and it’s off for good. That’s what I did day 1 and been problem free.

But the porn is calling! :cookiemonster:

Funny thing, I once got a nasty virus off cnn.com. Loading up the homepage and boom. It replicated over 1,000 times before the program that I was using at the time could lasso it. Pre-Defender days. Trend Micro maybe? It was a fun day doing extra scans with malwarebytes and eset.

We had a guy that would frag HDDs every year. I would dock it and try to recover work files because he also sucked at using the server. I would always find some pics saved. They were NBD compared to the pedo shit I found at my second company after school. I still feel dirty for not reporting the asshole, who was the owner, had a second of books, booted one person on 9.11, and he and I came to a head about a week after that. It was a shitty time for a new job search, but it has been all up from there.

1.05 87 FOB first impressions: I feel more low end torque. Engine feels smoother. Mileage gauge in places it's never been, considerably better. Driving is more enjoyable. I will drive it until 2.0 is released. So far, I am very happy.

The combination of the tune and the accumulator delete makes it feel like a new truck. I really wasn't unhappy before the mods, but the combination of the two make for a completely better driving experience. Thanks for all of your guidance!

Loving the little drops from Mat. Looking forward to official 2.0. beta has been great so far but curious about the changes as he mentioned above.

    Thanks Matt.

My exact impression when I first flashed 87fob w/ 265/75r16 coopers. Now on 255/85r16 and still impressed by this tune.

I drive this truck like an old man and piss off all these Chicago suberb race car drivers. As in, usually shifting before 3000rpms.

But... That 2nd to 5th lazy shift still works for me when I got a race car driver behind me. Lol

Lol. Today I held 2nd until nearly redline just to see what mph it was capable of... hit 63 mph before shifting. Is this how the 2-5 shift is done?

And I think the people standing outside the Chevron probably thought I was either nuts or just a complete idiot with a stick shift.

All jokes aside I usually shift around 3k, especially in 1st. One main reason I want the tune is for some low end grunt in 2nd, since I shift outta first so quickly with this low gearing.

I do 2nd to 6th all the time. Getting on the interstate is one of those i do almost daily.

I also do 2nd to 6th when cruising around town. If you are in a flat area you can cruise 6th at 35 all day

No way near redline 2-5 shifts. If near redline can toss it in 6. On stock size tires it can cruise noticeably better under 40mph in 6th. FOB has a nice power off idle, I wouldn't call it feeling like extra torque. Just my opinion anyway.

If it wakes the truck up during those very low rpms that would be great.
