    First post, new member. I also grabbed the black Friday deal, looking forward to getting this loaded.

    Two questions:

    1. Other than buying it, is their something I am supposed to send them before they ship the donggle thingy?

    2. I am buying this mainly for towing. Anyone using it for that? The OEM truck does OK pulling my 5k trailer, but better low end torque would definitely add more time to my clutch life.

    Send them nothing just pay and start the process.

    It will help and FOB Tune is essentially made for towing. That said you really should regear for towing.

    You have to send them your computer info to get your registration key. You need to do that now, before getting your kit. That way when you get your kit in the mail, you are ready.

    Computer info? I didn't see that in the instructions. I assumed I would download that and send it to them once I get the connector, correct?

    That refers to the laptop you will be using for the tune,the tune license is registered to your laptop. You will need to send Mat your laptops info,directions on how to do that are posted here. You do not need the connector to install the flash manager software and get your system (laptops) ID

    Finally got my urd stage 3 clutch in with the accumulator bypassed. I just ran all new line from master cyl to slave as it seemed easier to me. Still getting used to it as the clutch grab is almost instant. Like an on off switch lol I find myself breaking loose often while starting out with 35s and 4:88s. running the 04b13 beta 87 decatted tune and I love it!! It even sounds much happier on the tune. Definate boost to low end and much more linear power delivery than the last beta imo. Also running true duals no x pipe no cats.

    Read the instructions and download his software.

    Follow all the directions, and email him your id number that the software generates.

    Within a couple days he will send you s registry file which you open and add to your computer.

    Then you just wait for the cable in the mail.

    If you don't do it now, then you will be waiting for the file and have a cable you can't use yet.

    And if your anti virus quarantines a file during install, just restore the file, or turn off antivirus

    I can see why you'd say that, and obviously you have the tools/parts/knowhow to get er done.

    For those that are thinking about the delete mod and don't want to do this, the Dremel method is super easy, won't cost a dime (well, you'll still need to replace some fluid), and is undetectable at the dealership unless they pull the damn thing off the transmission and also disassemble it.

    I did the remove/bypass method on my '16 and the Dremel method on my '19. Dremel gets my vote.

    Details including pics are all in the ADM thread. Thanks for pulling all that stuff together @tonered !!

    How many days till 2.0 FOB?????

    Oh and, for the record this truck likes premium fuel on the OEM calibration. The stuttering weirdness in the low end, while still there, is noticeably reduced. It just drives better all around.
    Those that get on TW and blast members for stating the same are just incorrect/don't care and are obviously trying to support their "it's a fucking waste of money" argument.

    I mean, I could back this up by monitoring KCs and whatnot and posting the results... but again it would fall on deaf ears. It's all for naught anyway, once 2.0 hits the streets!!

    I HATE the stock tune for the record. I know, it's a cap'n obvious sort of thing.

    The 04B13 2.0 beta was the tits, so I'm super eager to get the final product into this slug of a '19!

    Some truth in that.

    I guess I will remain baffled as to why our trucks are so different. While a slug in OEM tune mine didn't exactly misbehave. And my ECU responded in text book form to 1.05 FOB 91. I would have guessed OVT would want to know why the difference.

    I hear you, they SHOULD behave almost identically. Experience through many different files and trucks has shown that they sometimes don't though. There's variability in there somewhere, and even Mat has mentioned it on occasion. No idea why. I shouldn't have to do a voodoo ritual to get my truck to run right after flashing. Been there, done that with resetting LVs, DTCs, battery disconnect, which order you do these things in, idle learning length etc etc etc etc.

    Going back to 1.03 testing, my other truck would consistently stutter under load in the 2500-3200 range. I mean really annoying. Mat looked at my logs and determined my truck couldn't figure out if it wanted to be in Atkinson/OTTO in that scenario and sent me another file - BAM, problem solved - smooth as silk on the first 1.04 file. That's just one example, but Mat's knowledge of the calibration and subsequent action to fix things has expanded substantially since then.
