Yes. Just do it. What is there like 1/2 a person who has regretted it and he left the building? You will NOT say the money was wasted.

Good to know, I had the bypass done, paid about 50$ for it because I'm not mechanically inclined. I didn't trust myself to do the then unproven dremel method either lol

Hoping someone here knows this answer but.... after downloading the new version of flash manager, I noticed that my ECU isn't one of the options.... I'm 04B12 - MT and it has 10, 11 and 13... wut thu heck? lol
I also remembered seeing something a few hundred pages ago, probably, where you could actually change your ID? IIRC, people were changing to 04B13 for some reasons or others? Now I can't find it and wondering if I need to?
I flashed the 91 base this morning and took it for a drive, I think I like it, better low speed manners. I've only been running the 87/91 FOBs for the last year or so...
Anyhoo.... is my ecu not supported anymore? HEEEP! lol

I'm looking at my computer now and see 04B12 in the drop down. From the instructions, be sure that you uninstalled the previous versions first. Also, be sure that you picked Install All Software from the Config menu, Install OVTune Cable Drivers from the Tuning menu, and Update from the Help menu.

BTW, in FM for me, I see 04B11, 04B12, and 04B13 for 2017s.

    :hattip: Yep.

I'd recommend going to 04B13 all day long.

And also, I see it now. 04B12 is missing from the 2016 menu. You have a 2017! :D

Interesting, I did uninstall the last one first... Mine has 02, 23, 10, 11, 13... still no 12... Is it the TechStream link in your sig that I'm looking for?

That is odd as I have 04B12 in my 2017 menu, but not in the 2016 menu. Regardless, you can use a file from any model year. It just needs to match your ECU ID.

Yes. Download and install TS. With the OVT Tactrix cable, you can flash to 04B13 and use those tunes.
