Has anyone with a 2020 MT flashed a tune on their truck yet?

Shoot, well any recommendations on which tune to install? last time I filled up I put 93 on top of 87 octane. Should I drive around and run that out then fill up with 87 or 93?

i have 87 FOB right now, have ran it about a week so far. I just downloaded the 91 and 93.

Im not sure what/how much difference there is between 91 and 93 tunes.

I know i can get 93 here, but worry what would happen if i drove somewhere that only had 91 available. Im thinking of putting 91 on mine, so i can account for those times.

I do have a 3/4 full tank of 87 in there now, so i wont run it until i get that down to the "please refuel notification" I believe 3 gallons of 87 + 18 gallons of 93 should about right (or maybe not, who knows)

Well with that mathematical equation i could just fill up with 93 at 1/3 of a tank and achieve 91.

But does octane rating really just divide out that way when mixed?

its a ratio of the total amount. Just like watering down alcohol to reduce the "proof". Your not really boosting the 87 so much as "letting down" the 93.

Yes, but you would have to cut it "EXACTLY" at 1/3. If you top off too soon, you could end up with less than the desired 91. So, run it down a little more than the 1/3, before topping off with the higher octane to be sure.

I'm not in that big of a hurry. I would wait .

Just using nice round numbers for easier math.

I'm loving 87 fob, but it still has that low rpm stumble. I know on stock tuning if i ran 93 it didn't really stumble.

So i figure, run 93 on 91 tune, more power and a little octane overhead/security for when i go out of area and only 91 is available

Oh, yeah. I typically run 87 on the 87 FOB for daily driving, (pretty flat here in NW Ohio). But I occasionally have to head east and travel the PA turnpike. Then, I always top off to make sure I'm running better than 91 in the tank by the time I get to the PA border. It makes for a much smoother ride and keeps the mileage in a respectable range.

So if I run 1.05 what's the difference between 1.05 and 1.05.1 and what about FOB for 1.05. also I assume gear lock is for AT only? If so how come it shows up under options for tunes for the MT.

    also what is 2.0.X.EROM?

1.05.1 is AT only, as is gearlock. You get 1.05 or 1.05FOB. The 2.0 beta tunes which are available on http://ovtuned.com/

91 FOB stumble is really, really bad on my truck, unfortunately. Especially between 1500-3k RPMS. Then there’s a weird VTEC at 3k and again around 4200. It’s definitely getting worse, not better, with each tank of gas. The inconsistency of this truck never ends. Thanks Obama.
