I’m not gonna complain. We are ahead of the AT goons. We’ll be living the dream while they complain about shift points

    Agreed.

I have been overwhelming in support of Mats work.
However, moves like this do rub me the wrong way. Just cant seem to understand why those with dongles, who supported early on, seem to get left out. It's not the first time it's happened.

Just my observations. I'll step away from the forum till this weekend I guess.

There’ll be no complaints about shift points in 2.0 final from this goon. All fixed. :)

Oh please. No need to feel butt hurt because someone else gets it “1st”, it’s a simple matter of economy.

Good luck with your “holier than thou” attitude just because you purchased a product earlier in it’s life. I highly doubt you envisioned Mat would take this development so far. If you are such a great supporter, let me ask how much you’ve donated to OV beyond your original purchase price? Talk is cheap...type on TW is even cheaper.

2.0 SOON!!!! I flashed the beta file for 04A71 on 87 and man do I love that throttle response and linear power! Definitely missed the torque though. I cant keep up with a tuned brz anymore (good friend). So this weekend maybe??? :burnrubber:

Be careful, there are keyboard warriors who will call you names for such such things. Best to be a good TW boy and not ask questions or express concern.

At the end of the day, Toyota's crap stock tune is what disappointed all of us.

Hey how come the only tune I can download for 04B13 is the stock tune? I get an error downloading for anything else on the Toyota flash manager 1.0.4. Is it something simple I'm missing or something more complicated? Any help appreciated, tia.

Click update in flash manager. It’s in the menu bar.

I have tried that also, it says update complete everytime I click it. Anything else it could be? Do I need to do anything with the link Matt posted for 2.0 in tw forum?

Also another member mentioned a big update happened with the flash manager that required uninstalling and re registering awhile ago, possible that this could be the issue? I bought my kit from ovtune this past July, and that was the only time I've used it to flash 105 base.

Weird. Don’t think that’s the issue but never know I guess. Should be able to get stock. 1.05 and 1.05fob for 04b13

you can get the single torque test tune a few pages back and 2.0 final for 04b13 from mats posts in this thread. Just download them to your computer and then select one with p5flash when you flash.

Ok so that's what I want is 2.0 final, so maybe I'm just doing this wrong and I don't understand how to flash it from the link a couple pages ago.

2.0 isn’t currently in flash manager. You need to download it from a few pages back. Then you flash it with p5flash just like before.

2.0 final isn't out yet via Flash Manager

As for the link a few pages back, you'll use the link to download the file to your laptop and then use the flash software to flash your truck with the map

I know its bit of a PITA when you already have things working, but if Matt is offering it up at no cost, is there a big disadvantage moving to the registry file vs. the dongle? (yea, yea, okay... insert your "playing with your dongle" jokes here, they end up being a bright spot in my day anyway ).

I'm sure it will take a few days to get the reg file and no one likes change or delays, but I'm sure its also a PITA for Matt to have to support both user validation methods.

The advantage of the dongle is not having to bother Mat for a new reg file and wait for the response if your tuning laptop craps out on you.

Sure, there's probably no emergency for flashing if you're just rocking whatever tune and your laptop suddenly doesn't work, and you can afford to wait the few days for Mat to help you out, but I know I value the portability of my dongle. I'm a pretty independent person and just prefer to not bother Mat with reg file stuff when I can just re-setup my tuning stuff on another laptop if need be.
