Make sure to clear LV as well if you didn't.

I did. I did that last time with the throttle patch to.

I'm pretty sure it will smooth out just like the throttle patch did.

I'm running 87 octane and while I can tell it is "learning" it's way down from premium right now, I can absolutely feel all the improvements. This tune is butter. And I made sure to clear lvs.

I did get a jump when I got on it pretty hard at about 40mph but it quickly sorted itself out

    Hey, @OVTune .

The 04B13 tune flashed like a champ. It had the same slight rough idle at the end of the 5min idle, but like last time, it disappeared. My truck drove beautifully.

I will have more for you with some more miles. It feels like another killer 2.0 tune.

    Thanks!

All, I need some help. New user of the OVT system here and I am about to do the first tune. I don't seem to get the same results as outlined in the instructions on the OVT website. I have downloaded the updates and received my registration file, but when I select the P5Flash Utility, "Ready..." shows up in the bottom left hand corner of the Flash Manager window and nothing happens. From the instructions, it seems as though this is the last step before plugging the OBDII into the dash. Can anybody shed some light on this for me?

FYI: I had the dongle kit but Mat said to send it back since it was causing people confusion--in case that info is helpful.

    Thanks.

This isn’t fair - I had to suffer through 30,000 on the stock tune and a total of 99,600 miles before this goodness lol

you should stay stock and suffer for a while

Thanks for sharing that. My Windows 10 seems to be a little different and I can't find the Exclusions noted above.

    Canada Eh!

Just got back from a 41km drive. Thrashed the truck pretty good! Ahh I love it! 1st gear is ridiculous. In comparison to 1st, 2nd feels pretty flat. Linear, but flat. I know in reality it’s not.

The throttle behaves like my 2000 4runner, as it should. Feels pretty linear and predictable. Best of all, the truck now has some punch in normal cruising gears without the need to downshift.

Keep in mind, I don’t have a great basis of comparison vs other OV tunes, or stock. Honestly, I didn’t find the stock tune that horrible once you learned to compensate for it. Learned real quick foot to the floor in 1st or 2nd to get anywhere in a hurry. Lol

Thanks @OVTune! I’m sure some of the small inconsistencies will sort themselves out once the tune settles.

Well, Just got back from a nice 45 min drive after flashing 04A71+Super+FOB+Prem+OL.p5f (cleared LV and let her idle for 5-10 mins)

We are currently having a mini blizzard here so the roads are crap, traction was very had to find to say the least. But, once the tune started to settle in there's 2 things I can say for sure. My Tacoma has NEVER EVER pulled this hard, feels much closer to the torque delivery my 4.0l Nissan Frontier had down low, I couldn't be happier about that. The second thing being the engine braking is noticeably better. I was running the 2.0 beta (from the website) before this and this is a HUGE step up from that file.

    Thanks for the initial review!
you probably didn't drive the stock tune long enough to truly hate it. It's the same story from most of our customers. Stock tune isn't that bad.
