you just freaked me out. i thought i got over my germ thing 40 years ago.

 

hahahahahaha. I avoid the airlines as much as possible now. Airliners are illness breeding grounds.

 

for sure... i've never been terribly afraid of actual flying. but getting in that capsule with the funky A/C is a torture test. and i used to do the back & forth between here and Asia on those 14 hour flights. man, you pick up this sticky crud on your skin like 4 hours in and it just gets worse from there.

 

Had to airline home from India a couple years ago after dropping a plane there. Flew from Dehli to New York non-stop, Thank God I was in first class. The stink on that flight was terrible and so many people hacking up curried lung butter just added to the misery.

 

Came to check for updates on the tune.looks like I got the airline thread??

Okay finally got the tune from Matt today all flashed up ver 103 - 91 octane. Initial impressions: Throttle response is better but not earth shattering. Truck pulls better and smoother through the power band except I have a flat spot at around the 3500rpm mark. It's like a surging or hesitation - never had this issue on the stock tune. I also noticed the blast of power that used to come on at 3500rpm doesn't hit til 3800 or 3900rpm. When that happens my AFE cold air intake makes a very buzzy type noise - rattles the dash board, it sounds like a rattle snake mixed in with a bunch of angry hornets. Stock tune was less pronounced. Sounded like angry hornets minus the rattle snake. Perhaps I will check all the connections tomorrow in the day light. I also have the Spec U exhaust system with resonator and perhaps I need to have a little bit more of a customized tune. Guess its time to do some data logging to see if there's more that Matt could specifically tune on my truck as mine is certainly not stock. Now I have only done a few hard runs on a long stretch of highway that heads up a pretty steep grade. Truck doesn't hold sixth gear and looses speed on this hill albeit not as bad as stock, seems to hold just a little longer. Maybe I need 103 C- Torque Throttling - Peak (all gears adjusted for maximum response)

I will log some more miles on the truck as it's probably re learning how I drive. Will post again once some more km's are racked up.
