I wish I had more time on SFOB tonight, but will get more miles over the weekend.

I had half a tank of 87, so i figured top off the other half with 93. Throttle is punchy, I like it. I do notice a bit of "jerking" getting on and off the throttle, but I'll give it some time.

After a nice warm up I was getting on it a bit. No more rpm surge at 3500, it just keeps pulling with linear feel. No rev hanging up in the revs!

A bit boggy down low/mid rpms ... But.. Gotta give it a little more time.

Noticed the only people who have noticed the same jerkiness as me all loaded sfob.

Maybe it's traction control, it is aggressive.

I'm about an hour from giving it a long rip and will be cutting traction off for it :)

If the jerky doesn't go away I'll try the base file.

Can't wait to open up second and third on the interstate

There will be some throttle jerkiness/ quirkiness in the beginning if you reset LV.

In other news they banned me from the tacoma 3rd gen Facebook page for posting about this update.

One of the admins has always been "skeptical" about your tune from day 1. Whenever there's a post about getting ovtuned, he usually pops up at some point to tell anyone who will listen that no one could pay him to run your tune and finds it suspicious that you use the same flash protocol as Toyota.

Go figure. :notsure: he's never liked either you or the idea of your tune, or both. Probably salty that he's committed to a Sprint booster lol anyway, I started figuring it was him when I saw your post yesterday asking why your stuff keeps getting deleted

    unfortunate.

they banned me from the page. I have hundreds of customers there, and sometimes facebook is the only way I can get updated information out to people.

Yep they were deleting anything I posted, and when I asked why, banned and blocked me from the page.

Unfortunate for sure, and quite immature.

Not everyone hangs out on TW for your updates. I've a local friend who doesn't follow the thread, just waits to see when either you post in the FB pages, or when people start talking about updates. So now he's already lost one possible method of hearing about new maps.

Kind of ironic, we got banned from facetube for similar reasons on the local Toyota group when they got stupid.
Sucks about your customers though, but it's not cool that someone's opinion can do that.

When prompted by the computer after you click on it opt to "Save" to your download on the computer. Then find it in your download file and click on it - it will install to the OVTune software. Don't copy as when you do this, even to a tune, it adds an extension to the file name which will cause it to be corrupt.

So i took my morning drive around. I took some back roads, the interstate, and then a curvy mountain pass back home.

Initially, as stated, it was jerky and weird. I took it around and gave some good full throttle runs from low rpm up to around redline. I then drove the interstate and man did it pull hard. I Parked it while i did a service call at a customers home.

Total mileage was around 20 miles.

After getting back into the truck and restarting it i decided to take the scenic route back, curvy, mostly uphill.

It really smoothed out, no jerkiness at all. And man, the low end is nice. I was able to drive most of the way in 6th gear, only requiring downshifts to 4th in 2 places (30 mph curves uphill)

I was able to pull up a hill going to my house in 2nd that i normally have to drop to 1st gear because it bucks badly, not this time.

DFCO is not an issue anymore. you can still feel it in 1st at around 1200 rpm, but it is really subtle, not a big jerky mess that it was previously.

It really is an excellent update to 1.05, the throttle and power is top notch and I wouldn't change anything with it at this point......except......rev hang is hanging around.

Hoping Mat will get a MT truck at some point and feel this. I know from searching that tuners for subarus and hondas have fixed this annoying issue. So here's to hoping Mat will one day as well.

And i really need to do the ADM
