My flash manager was version 1.35 and I was able to get the 2.0 SFOB version no problem. But then errors downloading 2.0 base. I uninstalled the OV Tune software and re-installed from the OV tune website. Noticed it dropped to version 1.3 now. I was able to download the 2.0 tune with this older version no problem.

Same issue I had. I had FM from last year sometime.

uninstalled everything. Installed the version on the website. Clicked update. Everything works now.

been a few people with this same issue.

I’m trying to download the .bin files that are compatible with my open flash tuner. I’ve got flash manager 1.3 but there isn’t an option to download the .bin files for my tablet.

Hope you get it figured out so you can get 2.0. Hopefully the AT version will be available soon. I ordered October 2018, got the HH November 2019, downloaded flash manager in December but still haven't tuned truck. Hoping to just do it once.:notsure:

I don’t believe handheld files are currently available.

Do you have the accessory handheld or do you have the open flash tuner? If you’ve got the OFT you should definitely load 1.05. It’s incredible!! And it’s super easy. Plug it in, lush a couple buttons and you’re done.

What is more in demand? OVT2.0 for the Auto or a shopping cart with TP, costco water and macaroni?

Alright, finally had some time to flash the superfob2.0 premium. I have ran shell 93 though my truck since day 1, so no need for running a shit tank of gas out of my truck to feel results.

Flash went successfully, minus my antivirus software, literally uninstalled it from my laptop, because it was not playing nice with TFM.

Took her out for a good 45 mile run, through city, highway, stop and go etc.

1st gear is pretty awesome now, no more lazy throttle. Initially when cruising 2nd or 3rd gear and easing into throttle, there was a choppy feeling. That all went away after about 30 miles.

Hopped onto the highway for the last 10 miles of the test ride and opened this thing up, started 2nd and rowed gears up to 5th. Definitely a different truck now.

Still needs twin turbos or a supercharger, but it is acceptable for a daily driver. 3 weeks ago I was shopping for a Raptor and was going to trade this truck in after 2 years.

Thanks Matt @ Ovtune, I no longer feel the need to get rid of this thing.

Do I need the turbs? No. But I do still want them. Ready and waiting

Truck definitely doesn't need turbos with 2.0 SFOB Prem being a thing now, but they'll be fun I'm sure.

Actually, they'd be insane. Lol either way, I ended up discovering that I no longer particularly care to get the turbos after driving on 2.0final

Im thinking base with a controller. I still want more down low. And boost is the only solution...

I think I remember reading one of the @OVTune posts that said the base kit with a controller would be breathing fire at hi RPM..

Side note, does anyone really “need” more power? I don’t need it but I will have one of the first ovtune boosted Tacoma’s.

I don't NEED it. But COULD use it. In the future. Once I get a trailer. And have time to actually use it. And the money to buy and install it. Hmmm, probably ought to slow down here.

Base with a controller, if I recall correctly, is up to 10psi with a taper to 6 at high rpm. The base standalone is 6psi
I only want to run 7-8ish with a taper to 6 at high rpm. The truck is fine as it is up there. The powermax just seem like insane mode to me

I've probably a solid 550lbs in extra stuff on my truck, maybe more, and the truck moves out feeling super nimble, like a bat out of hell really, with plenty of low end. Pretty reminiscent of 1.05 91 BFO test in terms of the raw punch it would give down low, but even smoother than 1.05 91 FOB.

The turbos would make it feel like a Toyota Ecoboost I'm sure, I just no longer feel like I at all need to consider getting the turbos. While driving on 2.0 beta, I was thinking that I'd be buying the TT kit and was completely unprepared for how good and strong the SFOB map would be.

I don't tow, last time I did was like a year ago, so for someone who regularly pulls a trailer, perhaps FI is still the way to go, idk. But I am confident that I could happily pull weight on this tune. I pulled a touch over 5k lbs last time when I was still on 1.05 91 BFO test and it was excellent, and this map is way better. :notsure:
