totally true for MT and more so for AT. Not to mention some are never satisfied regardless of the effort or result. Carry on with your vision and move forward.

Mine only happens at highway speeds, so 5/6th gear cruising 65-75ish. I’m going to try the premium FOB tune to see if goes away.

What I'm speaking of is not during acceleration. It's only during very light throttle while going downhill. It feels like putting your foot on the gas then removing it.

It is going between engine braking and throttle on. It very well may be, since it's not a throttle cable it literally might be giving a very small signal making it jump back and forth.

It's not even an issue really, as it's simple to make it not do it. I was just posting that it's the only qwerk I've noticed with it.

The plan for now is not to search for issues/flaws/bugs. Just going to drive normally. If I notice something I may or may not note it.

It is completely awesome what it has come to this, and I mean this is every good way. If some little minor issue must be searched for........then by Jove you've gotit.

I used my wifes laptop to install my tune and she deleted everything. My truck is still on 1.5fob.

I want to use 2.0, but her internal hard drive doesn’t have enough space anymore.

Can I buy a new laptop and use the software that way? Or is my wife’s locked to my truck with some sort of serial/license?

Depends on if you are a dongle user or not. If you don't have the dongle version of the tune, the license is tied to the laptop.

If you are dongleless and get a new laptop, you’ll need to request a new reg key

I run 91 in the tank and had originally flashed SFOB Prem and found it to be too twitchy and required a lot of concentration on shifts in lower gears to prevent it from launching ahead unintentionally. This continued for awhile, longer than I liked, and so I swapped to SFOB Base with 91 still in the tank (I won't run anything less :notsure:) and my experience was significantly improved. Still have excellent low end power available, but the truck doesn't try to run off on it's own and I can't shift normally without having to concentrate on the entire process. The octane learning feature seems to come in handy here, picking up on the higher octane in the tank and giving you a little bit more oomph on tap.

Historically with FO maps, I've always run the most performance oriented map available with any release. My truck has roughly 500lbs of additional weight on it, so not a whole lot but enough to make a difference, and so those performance oriented FO maps were the best way to go.

2.0 changed that and I am now of the opinion that SFOB Prem is for those trucks with lots of additional weight, lots of armor, big dummy-thicc tires, etc, and that SFOB Base with 91oct in the tank is an excellent small step down on the ladder for trucks like mine, with some extra fluff weight but not obese.

I would say to test any map that folks want to try. See what works and what doesn't. SFOB Prem on 87 runs friggin' sweet only my Taco, which is maybe 200lb over stock.

Mat has said that dongleless users can get up to 3 keys , but I would check now that he has posted things are going to VFtune . As for as I can read into his posts ( and my reading skills are not perfect ) , this may change now that the flash kits are no longer sold .Because the keys came from a third party it is starting to look like that this may change also ? I am not speaking for Mat but he has not stated anything about it so Mat should give the answer to this . We dongle users also need to know how the dongle tunes will work with the new VFtuner . Mat has said that the dongle tunes will not work with VFTune tunes , but has not said how the dongle will work as far as a license will work with VFtune . IE is a third party still responsible or in charge for this ?
So many things happening so fast and I give Mat credit for saying he does not want to give info on a lot of this so as to not create anger and confusion and he may not know himself . So we all need to give him time and he has never let us down yet !
I myself will admit to being selfish and just wanting a final 2.0 for the 04B04 2016/17 truck and not have a lot of misfires that I do not have with the stock tune . I also want the instant shift ( as in the the Tundra ) in gearlock mode Mat said would / might be in the final 2.0. I will buy the VFTune but may never use it unless to get the instant shift .
I am sure it will all work out fine , but like the worlds economy and the Covid -19 , who knows .
    Everyone stay safe !

    Just my thoughts.

With thousands of Flask Kits out there, mostly dongleless, there should be REG file support for many years to come.

There was something about a different protocol cable mentioned on the website. My guess is that it will be a totally new setup with more control over the process? Or maybe another, more commonly available adapter cable?

Just my random speculation. We'll see what is announced when it drops for us. But in the end, legacy folks should not have to worry.

Looking forward to vF custom tuning.
Safe every day user tuning, nice feature.

Once boost development is done it will be very interesting seeing custom dyno tunes performed.

Will professional dyno tuners have ease of tuning with vF? Or is this something they would have to study and specialize in?

Any dyno tuner with flash tuning experience (cobb, ecutek, uprev, hptuners, etc) should feel right at home with our software. Being a tuner, I developed it based on experience using other tuning software over the last 10+ years.

Not released yet for AT but Mt has been. Make sure you have FM 1.30 on first page. If not erase your old FM and load the new one. From FM pull down purge data and then reinstall. Hit update and you should be good.If I’ve omitted anything I’m sure someone will intervene.
