First file I got was 1.03 right after thanksgiving 2017

    04b12
    1.03
    1.03b
    1.03c
    1.03 2t3
    1.04a
    04b13
    1.04r
    1.05
    1.05b

and I think I’ve run 3 revisions of 2.0 betas. I think @tonered holds the record for 2.0 flashes lol

All these over about 70,000 miles or so. First tune was just under 30,000 miles and a few thousand on 04b13

    Had an issue today.

Stalled the truck and it took about 4 tries to get it restarted. Cranking over about 5 seconds each time. Fired on 4th try but took about 6 seconds of constant cranking. I thought it wasn’t going to start at all..

Truck was cold probably about 44 outside. Warmed truck for about 20 seconds before driving.
Drove approx 3 minutes to a light at an intersection with slight uphill grade.

    2018 taco
    Premium Superfob
    94 fuel
    Tuned for approx 150mi

    Anyone else experienced this before?

I’ve stalled the truck on previous tunes and have never had this hard of a time restarting it.

There have been posts like this on stock tune as well.

It most likely just flooded the engine and took a bit to clear it.

I got to flash somewhere in the December 2017 timeframe iirc. Combination of the initial wait for the kit to arrive and being out of town for holiday vacation

I had a 1.02 map that I'd gotten my hands on out of curiosity but I don't think I ran it since 1.03 was a thing

    04b12
    1.03
    1.03b
    1.03c
    1.03 2t3
    1.04a
    04b13
    1.04r
    1.05 BFO test 91
    1.05 FOB 91
    2.0 betas x3 revisions
    2.0 SFOB Prem
    2.0 SFOB Base

And multiple other random test files here and there for quick tests and stuff for Mat

All these over about 21k miles. First tuned at roughly 6500mi

When you type it out, it's kind of cool to see it emphasized how far this tune has come over the years.

@OVTune remember the good old 1.03b/c days? The start of "this tip in is too much, this tip in is not enough, ahh....this tip in is just right." :)

Next time cycle the ignition to off before you try to restart it. Something about immediately bumping the starter after the engine stalls makes it harder to start. Speaking for stock tune, but the guys who are tuned can comment their experience.

I haven't had this happen with the tune on my 3rd Gen, but while teaching my son to drive a M/T on my 2nd Gen; I had almost the same thing you describe happen to me.

Well... there may have been a little more drama given the teenage driver, busy road, and blocking of the Fire Station Entrance while we heard sirens in the background.

Not sure that helps at all (or that my memories aren't embellished by time and trauma), but the incident came to mind when I read your post o_O

Yes, cycle the ignition. If you try to restart immediately it will crank longer. It doesn't do that if you cycle the ignition.

now that you say it, I think thats exactly it. Im sure I just flipped the key to start from on... then after it didn't start, I flipped it off and tried again and then it worked.

    I'll have to remember that.

None at this time. Too poor for twin turbos.
I don't know if this has been asked already but I know vF Tuner is not going to be released soon and I don't need an official answer from Mat. Whats the opinion on 2.0 flash for the M/T Tacomas vs the example tunes that will be in the vF tuner?
Do you think the M/T 2.0 tune will be worth trying to find a used flash kit to buy or do you think the example tunes would be pretty similar to M/T 2.0. I read that for A/T 2.0 it has gear lock and stuff relating to the transmission that wont be in the example tune but can be added by the end user I don't know if the M/T would have any features that wouldn't be added to a sample tune. I don't need a tune for my truck anytime soon and I'm not planning on doing anything too crazy to it, unless that TT setup comes out and I find 10k somewhere then Id get the vF tuner, but does the 2.0 tune pretty much fix any gripes you had with your truck while offroading, towing or DD?

for 2.0 Mat did a table re-write to use ECU resources differently, and he mentioned that 2.0 performance would not be possible without it. that would be my first question: if vF allows the new table structure. if not, I'd think it would be stuck in 1.05 land and could not do things like ACIS controls as in 2.0. but I'm also not rushing Mat for answers now.
