Hi, I have not been on here for a while. I realize a lot has changed!

I am trying to download the 2.0 BaseOL for my 2018 MT with the 04A71 ECU.
I am using Flash Manager Software version 1.0.4 and Config version 1.3.3
I get an "Error downloading file..."

I've been running the SuperFOB tune for a couple months and want to see the difference with the BaseOL tune.

Thanks for any insight about the above.

Go download the new flash software from ovtune

It should be 1.3.1. It will fix the download error.

When i did this i did not uninstall the old one and my reg file still worked (i lost my original reg file)

    @OVTune
Mat, can you deal with a techstream log file or do you need something generated by your logger?
I'd like to open a ticket and have you take a quick look if you've got time..

    No, it's not misfires lol

It's a midrange hesitation or "stutter" issue that I have had (does it stock too). Mostly on the 2.0 Superfob files. 04B41
Do you have any insight from other customers?
Oh ok, I will look for that option in Techstream.

How do I find the current ECU version of my stock truck? I looked in OBDwiz and Techstream, both latest versions, and wasn't able to easily see it. Perhaps some kind soul could tell me if it is in either of these screencaps? Or is there better OBD software to use for this?

Thank you! Wasn't sure and didn't want to mess up. So it appears I need to flash the pre-collision sensor TSB, per Techstream...correct? And if I do that it will then change my ECU ID won't it? If so, is there a way to tell what the new ID value will be prior to the flash?

I'm not sure about the TSB you're referring to, TBH. I'm also not sure if flashing it will change your main Cal ID, sorry.
The TSB itself should show what the new Cal ID would be if there's a change..

It should be the yellow highlighted rows in the TS screenshot. It has a Calibration code but there is no "B" in it. That one is the TSB that says that due to the placement from the factory, water may get into the front collision sensor and cause it to randomly slam your brakes on. I really don't understand why Toyota didn't make that a recall...

Ok so I read about that procedure regarding the PCS radar on the government site, and I misunderstood your original question regarding Cal ID, in the context of this thread.
04B41 is your "ECM" cal ID, which we use to determine which OVT files to flash (engine/transmission management)
There are of course other ECUs in your truck (like the PCS) that have separate and completely different software and thus Cal IDs.
Did you have the physical part of the TSB done - applying the sealer?
Has the radar unit been changed out?
I'd have a good read of the complete document before doing anything...

Sorry! I'm still trying to learn this stuff and don't want to make a mistake when buying the ovtune software. I'm not going to attempt to "fix" the sensor issue, instead I'll try to get the dealer to do it under warranty since it's obviously messed up and I don't want to get into an accident just to prove it needs to be done.

I had forgotten that the ovtune software is only licensed to the current "ECM" (engine) control unit calibration version. Thus, it appears that when viewing the Techstream reports I only need to concern myself with the "Engine" row for the purpose of determining whether there is a TSB that needs to be applied which will force me to purchase more "credits" if I update.

    Two other quick notes;
If you've modified the ride height of your truck or changed the grille to a Pro version, the dealer will in all likelihood get you to sign a waiver, do the repair/adjustment and then set your default PCS state to "off" . Also a warning sticker is supposed to be applied on the steering column (radar cruise warning for modified vehicles); and
You can actually do the change in Techstream right now to make PCS default "off" if you're worried about the system shitting the bed while driving. That procedure is also in the TSB!
    Cheers!

It is a recall. Dealerships are supposed to bring it up Everytime your truck comes in until it's been fixed or remedied (shut off) lol

I am still trying to download the current tunes. I purged local data. Then I installed all software.

My security software is barfing with this message and quarantining the exe file:

    Threat Name - Win32:Trojan-Gen
    Infected file - p5flash_V1.2.2.exe

This does not seem good at all....

    Help anyone?

Disable your security software. Windows defender let it work correctly on my PC.

Just click on the notification and say Allow. There is zero problem with the software, just the a/v program tripping over its own dick.
