2016 OVTune Tacoma 3.5L Manual Transmission / Engine ECU Reflash

    BTW, I can download sid_04A71_2.0_Prem_SuperFOB and I can download sid_04A71_2.0_Reg_SuperFOB but I still get an error when trying to download either of the BaseOL files.

    Any idea why this still happens after downloading the latest software?

    You need to update FM. Uninstall the existing version, install the new one, reinstall your REG file, hit the updates in the FM menus (purge, download all software, update . . .):

    You might want to do that dance again? Is the installation folder called OVTuned?

    Yep, I see "OVTuned" when I do a system search.

    Weird, it lets me download the STOCK file for 04A71 also. It just errors when I try to get the BaseOL files???

    That is strange.


    Not being able to DL the Base tunes was a characteristic of using the old FM version. If you haven't, maybe try:
    Config Menu: Purge Local Data
    Config Menu: Install All Software
    Tuning: Install OVTune Cable Drivers
    Help: Update​

    Just spitballin' ideas?

    In case, the most current FM version is 1.3.0 and Toyota Flash Tool Version 1.3.2.

    OK...success!

    I started from scratch and uninstalled everything I could find. Then went through the above, plus, I had to keep my anti-virus software from putting the file "p5flash_V1.2.2.exe" into quarantine.

    I now have all the current tunes for my ECU.

    Thanks tonered and others for the advice.

    just flashed superfob on b14 - do i reset LV and AT with the engine on, or just with the keys in the ignition? letting it idle right now for a few minutes before taking it for a spin

    **edit ** for reference i tried resetting values immediately after flashing w/o turning the car on first, or disconnecting, and it said it was unsuccessful
