Got a new key from OV today and it worked. I loaded the base octane learn file for ob14. Drove a bit around town and it feels pretty nice. Going for a longer drive up the mountain later today.

It zeros out the Learned Values (engine) and Automatic Transmission values

Usually done after a flash to a new tune to start things out fresh.

Is it possible to get a p0430 code from this tune? Possibly the tune causing a cat failure or something? I have less than 30k on my truck and I’m getting that code. Replaced rear sensors and it didn’t fix it.

The tune is EPA compliant and runs at stoic AFRs as far as I have seen unless in the Open Loop region.

I'd flash the tune again then see if it returns.
I've seen some weird things where you will get a random check engine light if the ECU doesn't reset correctly.

I have had a CEL with the same code with all tunes except for the 2.0 beta non catted dump tube file released last October. Tried the newest 2.0 base file twice with 1k miles between each flash and the CEL comes back within 25 miles of driving.

Running catted dump tubes, stock rear cats, and DirtyDeeds exhaust.

The LV Reset needs to be key On without the engine running. I do not know if it is the same requirement for the AT Reset. The DTC Reset does not care.

Is it possible to accidentally reflash to stock? Feels very different from when I first did the fob tune. Pulled out onto the road and had much more of a delay

If you accidentally pick the wrong file, yes... What file were you coming from, and what file did you flash over it?

Since you just Reset the LVs, it's gonna be weird for a while as it learns. Just drive it. In about 20mi, it will be much happier. In 100, life will be good. In 500, the tune will be fully settled.

I just flashed the same code. I only saw one tune in the file so I’m not even sure where the pen code is stored

This might be a dumb question. Do any of the tunes including the Otto tune affect the self cleaning on the valves that’s supposed to prevent carbon buildup?

No. Your valves will be clean.

Not that I am aware. OVT only modifies certain areas of the base code that cause driveability issues. All TCS and operational features are left intact.

Edit: the cleaning cycle that we often hear is not for the valves, but for the direct injectors.
