    There are 2.0 tunes for 04b14. It’s worth the upgrade.

    So I’ve not been on this thread in 6 months. Last time I was here, I updated my truck to 2.0 FOB octane learning or something like that, I can’t even honestly remember. I’ve not read it in months? Is there anything new or better out? What is the story on this VFtuner? Sorry in advance, yes I’m that guy. Don’t feel like reading 900 posts to try and catch back up lol

    That is the latest other than vf tune and the tweaks we have been doing to the 2.0 tune.

    There are improvements to be had.

    Just like a few of the above posters, i havent checked in here for 6+ months or so. can i upgrade to 04b14 without having to deal with the VfTuner stuff? or would I have to upgrade to 04b14, get vftuner then re-flash an updated version of the SFOB tunes?

    Yes .... use Tech Stream to up grade to 04B14. But if you're OVtuned it will wipe your tune.

    AFAIK there are no V2.0 tunes for the 04B14.

    So ...... if you want to tune after changing your ECU ....... vF tuner software is the only way.

    you need to upgrade to vf tuner for 04b14 support. If you are an existing customer, you can do the trade in for a discounted upgrade.

    it’s worth doing the upgrade from 04b12/13 to 04b14. It was noticeable on my truck.

    Well ............ what I meant to say ( it's still early ! ) if you want the "old" .p5f files .......
    they aren't available ...... AFAIK ....... 04B14 are only available in the new .vft format.

    Question for all here.

    has anyone tried using the tactrix cable and Techstream/vFTuner over an RDP session? My laptop hard drive was recently corrupted and I lost my windows 10 partition leaving only Linux. I have a desktop computer running windows that I’d like to install vFTuner onto. I could RDP to my desktop via my laptop while sitting in my truck but I’m not sure if I can pass thru the tactrix cable thru the RDP session.
    Any thoughts?

    No and I wouldn’t recommend trying anything other than usb cable plugged into the computer with vF installed. Any blip in connectivity is going to result in a bricked ecu
