I'm sorry if this has been covered, I've not been keeping up. Went to flash a different map and now my reg key and system ID don't match so nothing works. 3 days of waiting for the ever responsive Zendesk to actually get back to me, so I thought I'd go straight to you guys. What's the deal?

 

Are you vF or OG Flash Manager?

If you're vF, just update to the latest version. No more REG files.


If you're FM, @OVTune is getting ready to launch a replacement. It is not ready yet.

 

Thanks, I'm using vF and just downloaded the most recent version. It says I need to register again, the old reg key I received from Mat doesn't match my system ID, will it still work?

If so, just put in the Master Key (not REG file or System ID), username, password, and email. That should get you up and running with the new Flash Tool that doesn't use a REG file.

 

Thanks again, I was trying to use the vF Flash Tool but I'm guessing we're talking about the $350 vForest Tuner Software? I apologize if these are dumb questions, this shit has gotten complicated over the last 2 years for somebody that's barely computer literate like me

 

sounds like you are on the old system.

if you are using the dongle you can upgrade for free

if you are using the non dongle it is a 75 dollar upgrade to vforest and you get the tune packs for free

if you dont want to upgrade you have to wait for the new release (which is not far away)

If you haven't used it in 2yrs, then you're probably on the old Flash Kit using Flash Manager. @OVTune is getting a free replacement ready for that, for folks that do not want to view or edit tunes.

Flash Kit folks can upgrade to vF for $79, if you want to view and edit tunes.

 

I love this community, you guys have given me more help in 30 minutes than I’ve gotten from @OVTune in 3 days.

While it’s more than a little frustrating to have to pay another $79 to use my $700 tune package, I’ve learned that “soon” in the OV world is probably next year. This’ll be the last penny I spend on an Orange Virus product
