2016 OVTune Tacoma 3.5L Manual Transmission / Engine ECU Reflash

    ok so i did the $79 upgrade, reinstalled newest vf tune software, spent 4 credits to unlock my vin and flashed sfob.... everything went good. then i went to open the stock 04b91 file that came with the vf tune software download just to tinker around with my new purchase and it wants me to spend 4 more credits to unlock. wtf did i do wrong? or is this like most new video games whereas the more you spend the more you get.

    that is for editing.

    you dont have to spend the credits again to flash it, but if you wish to view and edit it will ask for credits.

    Once you unlock your ID you can view and edit any ID file that matches.

    you should have gotten 9 credits with your purchase

    just make sure you unlock the correct ID

    Your VIN is now permanently Unlocked for flashing.

    If you want to view or edit tunes, you have to Unlock the ECU ID.

    I have a bunch of ECU IDs Unlocked and also have a bunch of VINs Unlocked for folks that I flash:

    This is why you got nine Credits with your vF Upgrade. You can either flash two VINs or flash one VIN and Unlock one ECU ID.


    Of course, you could use your Credits to only Unlock two ECU IDs, but that would be just a bit silly.

    I bought a Billiard Pool table and borrowed my Father-in-law's trailer. I had to stay at 4th gear. I really need this OV tune to gain power and better mileage. My truck has 3" lift and 33" tires.

    Anybody does OV Tune near Santa Barbara, Santa Maria or San Luis Obispo area here?

    If you're towing you should be in S mode 4 anyway. With ECT engaged. But yes, you need the tune
