For the MT, yes, it's true. And the effects are positive.

Early on Mat used to constantly warn us that requesting FO maps was fine/possible, but we'd see less fuel economy. We didn't care and the opposite ended up being generally true. More smooth/consistent and stronger power, along with improved fuel economy. My theory is because the truck wasn't working as hard, and not swapping between cycles

AFAIK, only the MT SFOB tunes have atkinson changes, but we have been trying to figure out the tuning details for a while.

The original reason on 1.05b was for more bottom end torque and it certainly did that. It was predicted to be bad for MPGs, but everyone that I recall had their best MPGs with it. Nothing negative was ever reported other than it was a bit aggressive from some folks on the 2.0 side when running 91+ octane.

Any idea when the 2.0 ultimate is coming out?

No real idea. Just that it was to happen after Version 1.3.0 and that it was being tested with the Pro Upgrade tuners.

There’s a new tune coming out? Something that will improve the manual?

I’ve been running the regular tune and now that I’ve got 2,000 miles on the truck I think this weekend I’ll run it down to fumes, fill it with 93, and flash the premium tune.

I’m hoping that will take my mind off the Magnuson SC!!!

They're all octane learning and will adapt to whatever is in the tank.
