Yes I have shortbed. Leer is the only company between those two that does vented windoors for the 16 shortbeds according to my topper dealer. That was when I bought mine back in December.

That would irritate me. You could probably get Line-X on that top 6" for really cheap and it would be a non issue.

I've been looking at the ARE Overland, and they will do them too. Haven't seen one done yet, so the answer may change when I pull the trigger on the order.

Ok yea I had an ARE CX ( which I believe is same mold as overland but not sure) on order with vented windoors and my dealer contacted me and said vented windoors only available on shortbeds through Leer so I switched to 100xr. Super happy and actually glad I ended up switching as I like the rear door of XR better than CX. Anyways again that was in December and things could've changed. Good luck on the topper hunt!

Any chance you could take a side shot? I'm looking to do a similar set up.

Does anyone know of better diy roof cleats to hang a mesh cargo net on in the inside other than the factory leer ones. All I can think of is boat tie downs

Hmm, Do you have a roof rack? If so, had I seen these before ordering cleats I would have maybe done something like this.

"I'm tempted to get a few of these and replace the cap nuts holding the rack tracks. This will greatly expand the options for attaching and hanging things"

Can you take a couple of pictures of where the front bed rail meets the topper inside and out?

I am curious of the fit/finish of your Leer vs my Jason brand, I seem to be loosing 2" of interior space.

I measured the interior at the front bed rail and it is roughly an inch of overhang and the exterior seems to be well lined up. 2 inches seems like a lot of interior overhang. It seems like if you moved your top closer to the cab you may have trouble with closing the rear hatch but if you have the clearance then maybe push the top back a smidgen? Hope you get it worked out to your liking.

No roof racks, your idea would work good too..This guy has them looking like their attatched beside his roof rack bolts. Just found the pic.

I posted an inside pic up at post #351. My Jason topper has a bit bigger hangover, we moved topper as far forward as we could lad and still get rear door to close. I am being told that this is typical for Tacoma's. It is hard to believe that someone made this mold and was content with fit and finish. So this makes me very curious as to how other manufactures are forming their toppers.

Hahaha, that's my topper and one of the reasons why it went back to the factory to get reworked. What top do you have? You can see from that photo that the roof is reinforced in that area, maybe yours is as well. Post a picture of your interior and I'll give some thought to some options fwiw.

Your DCLB looks sharp with the Leer. Did you have any luck with getting a better seal on it? Great photos!
