I just bought a pair of trd headlights that Came off a 2019 trd model with the led drl. I have a 2016 sr5 and I know that the wiring is different. I don’t want to tap into the wiring. Am wondering if anyone sells a plug n play harness that will allow me to run the led drl without the turn single lights being on. Thanks!

@Puppypunter may have useful information on this. He may already have posted it somewhere.

It’s doable, but not as easy as you might be hoping. Let me ask something first: How exactly do you want the new headlights to act? When you turn the stalk switch on the DRL, you want the DRL to light up white, and when you turn on the turn signal, you want that bulb to flash amber? Are you okay if the DRL turns off when the turn signal is on? Also, are you good if the DRL dims when you turn on the parking light?

OK, then the best bet is to tap into the rear turn signal. @kmorgan3 might be some help here too. Are you comfortable wiring stuff? What about crimping?

Am decent. I know some people on here have made or sell plug n play harnesses. I was hoping to maybe buy one. I don’t really want to tap into any wires unless it’s my final option

I’ve tried contacting him. Does anyone know if he’s still active on here?

Then like @Puppypunter said you’ll need to run your front blinker bucket with a feed off of the rear blinker. There’s a plug under your factory fuse box you can tap. As for the DRL strip it’s going to be more complicated. Might need to daisy-chain a couple of relays and feed off both the DRL (with a delay timer attached to the DRL pin) and the side marker indicator (attached to the park pin). The idea would be to make the DRL signal constant so it doesn’t flash with the blinker using the timer, and then give preference to the side marker using the relays for dimming. I got around this whole thing by just using my DRL strip as a blinker (but turned the DRL strip amber).

If you don’t want to tap wires you’re going to need to design some harnesses and start grabbing part #’s for each connector. It’s not terribly complex but it’s time consuming to keep your factory harness untouched.

Or turn OFF on your head unit the DRL function to avoid tapping the rear turn signals...

That function isn’t available on the SR head unit. Might be on the SR5.
