    Oh... I hadn't even considered where the winch mounts. The light bar is on top of the crash bar, so I'm not sure it wound impact the winch... Would it?

    The winch mounts about 1" behind the lower grille so the light bar would be out. You might be able to run one if it's a flush mount one but not behind the grille

    Thanks... But is it above the giant aluminum crash bar? The light bar sits directly on top of that bar.

    Yes, that's where the solenoid will sit.

    Check out my picture in 519, the hoop wont really bother the light bar. I am not sure about the space though for the winch

    What winch does SSO recommend? I'm curious. Seeing people throw the Zeon's in there but I'd rather not do more cutting that I need or awkward mounts.

    I think any winch that has a detachable solenoid. Theres about 8" to work with from the plate. The mod is easy, 2 bolts and drill 3 hols.

    I'm running a Smittybilt X20 wireless with it. Direct fit, no need to relocate the solenoid

    Yeah, I was a bit bummed out as well. There are some other options. CaliRaised makes a nice single row flush mount light bar. You can also surface mount if you don't want to get a bumper with a cut out. I have decided to run some ditch lights instead and call it a day.

    The additional mod needed to fit the Zeon with the solenoid takes about two minutes...I wouldn't let that be your determining factor.

    Yeah- drilling 3 holes and removing a 3" piece of stamped sheet metal that's only mission is to provide support for the plastic bumper cover is trivial. The bumper gets supported by the winch directly, and this allows you to run the top of the line 10k Warn with remote. It's a no brainer.

    You should look at the SDHQ behind the grill mount. I'm going to do this in the spring.

    Finally got mine installed last night. Thanks for all the tips, guys. Hardest part was lifting it in to place. I ended up using a jack to aid it while pivoting the winch solenoid clear of the grille.

    Did anyone else have a difficult time getting leverage on a torque wrench for some of the bolts? I think I'll need to get a different sized wrench to fit in there to properly torque them before I actually use the winch for anything serious.

    I'll post some pics up soon.

    I had trouble with the bolts that sit on the outside behind the fog light area. I just cranked them as hard as I could and properly torqued the others.

    not sure if this is a serious comment but in some cases over torquing as much as you can crank it does more harm than good. you can easily stretch the threads on the bolt, which affects the overall strength of the fastener
