We are shooting for a sale date later in July for the Tacoma bumper.....I'm
thinking more toward the end of July. We are a member of the Tacoma forum
now, so Kevin will be posting there.

Yes the trim piece will be included.

Shipping weight with a light & hoop is 90 lbs.

Yes you can get this bumper with or without a hoop. You also can get it
with a 20" light cutout, 25" light cutout or plain face for a surface
mounted light or even a custom cutout (max 28"x3".....this option will add 3
weeks to the delivery time). The options for this bumper will be exactly
the same as the 4Runner Slimline Hybrid Front Bumper on our website.

Wow! I didnt even know this thread existed until just a few days ago, so let me answer a few questions directly from the horses mouth.

To begin with, my name is Kevin, and Southern Style OffRoad has been in business since 2012 specializing in Lexus and Toyota off road parts. What started as a hobby, teaching myself to weld under my carport, has turned into a full time job with 6 employees. We are still a pretty small company but we're doing our best to compete with the big boys in this market. Anyway, we really took off last year or so with the introduction of our "Slimline Hybrid" for the 2014+ 4Runner and have been adopting that style to the Tacomas this year.

Greg is a class act, and really pushed the 2016 through prototyping by letting us use his truck for a few weeks, but we've also already got a 2012-2015 version just waiting to be released as well. I like to make sure all of our ducks our in a row before releasing any new products, which means multiple bumpers on multiple trucks to make sure there are no variations that aren't accounted for. We've got one more 2016 Tacoma coming in tomorrow for a final test fit and installation pics/video. After fitment is verified, we'll begin producing these in popular versions to prepare for a group buy which will include all Tacoma slimline hybrids. We're also hurriedly preparing for FJ Summit, but I am still shooting for a mid July official release.

To clarify a bit on Greg's answers, yes the edge trim will be included and the bumper's weight actually clocks in around 75 lbs depending on options. The shipping weight is about 90 lbs, which does include the led bar and other packing materials as well as the weight of the double walled cardboard box. These can be shipped standard FedEx to your home or business for a flat rate of $99 anywhere in the continental US. As Greg mentioned, we do also offer some customization as well for lights or other options, but it does add a bit of time to the build.

We are absolutely thrilled to finally be releasing these products and cant wait to see them on different truck builds. Dont hesitate to ask any questions at all and feel free to give us a call at our new location (225) 726-7979.

Subbed as this appears to be the only option that will work with my Mobtown recovery bar.

This looks great! The design really compliments the factory looks while adding self recovery and a tougher look without a ton of weight. Thanks for clarifying the weight as 75lbs vs 90lbs.
I had a couple more questions since you're here.

What brand LED lightbars are available when purchasing? I saw rigid and it looks like you also have generic one avilable.

Will any of your 3rd gen test vehicles be outfitted with aftermarket suspension systems? I'm hoping the 650lbs springs on my Icons will be enough.

And last question. What parts of the factory bumper will need to be cut? I could not tell from the pics.

    Thanks you!

Is it possible to get no light bar and no cutout? Would this reduce the cost?
    Thanks

Currently we offer Rigid Industries and a generic 25" led bar that we warranty directly. We've done a few Baja Designs lights as well so that will also be an option in the future. Your 650lb springs will do great and there are quite a few folks who run them on their stock suspension without much fuss. For cutting the oem bumper, it essentially removes the black center section that protrudes a bit which gets replaced by the SSO bumper. I used 1 inch painters tape to outline the oem center section and made the cut that way, but we'll provide a template to make it easy.

The MSRP of $749 is essentially a bare steel, no light bar, winch capable, shackle mounts standard price. Although, we'll be doing $100 off introductory pricing and reduced pricing on options (light bars, hoops, custom options) for at least the month of July. So for $748 (non group buy), you can get one shipped to your door and rattle can it yourself or bring it to any powder/line-x shop of your choice.

However, depending on the number of participants in the group buy, the discount could be significantly deeper.

I think there will be many. I know everyone has their own taste, but most of the full plate bumpers really don't "do it" for me. This is such a great option because it adds utility without destroying the visual flow of the front end. I hope it is very successful for you.

Yeah so as Robbie mentioned, we did the final test fit and got the location of some side brackets to reinforce the plastic oem bumper. The jig is built and ready to produce, so we're only waiting on an order of material to arrive, but that could be a couple weeks out. Plus, FJ Summit is next week and we'll be out of town during that time. We could start taking some pre sales, but it was my intention to have these ready to ship before listing them on our website. Ya'll let me know what you'd like.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
