Has anyone else had this problem? I have a 2016 trd sport, I was on a 5 hour drive and the radio crashed 5 times total. Once every hour the screen would go blank, the sound would stop and the radio would reboot. The first thing to appear on the screen is a message about "checking the surrounds while using the backup camera" followed by the normal disclaimer that appears when you turn on the radio. It has not happened since the long drive. I took it to the dealership and they didn't find anything wrong (no error code).

Happened to me about 3 hours into a trip Saturday with nav running. Really sucked because I had 5-6 destinations set and it deleted all of them and i had to go back through and re set it up.

this is exactly what happens to me on my 2 hour commute. I brought it to the dealer and they want me to unfair my phone, delete my personal data and to not pair it for a week. I am very angry and disappointed but will do as they say. I want my media system REPLACED and hopefully, never have to deal with them again. but they are not doing that for me.

Also happened to me. Thought it was a bad signal on the satilite xm signal. Switched to iPod, same thing.

I just noticed mine doing the same yesterday. Seems to be when I'm paired to the radio. It reset 6 times in a 15 mile stretch.

Calling dealership now to schedule appointment.

Went to the dealership and they reset my unit. Asked if I had an IPhone, which I said yes. It's because when u pair your phone there is sometimes to much data on your phone. Your contacts, music blue streaming, etc...
Says if it happens again , they'll replace the unit. Also u will be notified of any hardware updates or possible recalls.

Happened to me 3 times on a 14 hour trip, all 3 times my phone was plugged into the usb port. Moved my charger to the aux in centre comparment, hasn't crashed since.

Same issue. 2016 Trd sport. Happens at random . Does not matter if Bluetooth/usb is or is not connected. Less than 100 miles on truck. Have already contacted dealer.

I'm having an issue where my fm and am radio won't play but all the others such as xm, bluetooth and aux play. I'd like to troubleshoot it before contacting dealer.

Happened over the weekend. About an hour into the trip screen crash and reset. It happened with Bluetooth hooked up. On the way back I waited an hour and a half no crash but once I hooked the bluetooth up within 15 minutes screen crashed.

I've had my Tacoma for ~7 months and never had any issues until this weekend, went on a 8 hour road trip and Entune crashed 3 times. I did download the latest update last week, not sure if that has anything to do with it. I was listening to XM the whole time but also had a USB stick with my music plugged in. After the 3rd crash I unplugged the USB stick and didn't have any crashes after that.

Just connect your phone to Entune thru bluetooth and it should automatically let you know if there are any updates to download.

Download the entune app on your iPhone. It will ask you to register using your vin. Once you do this it will allow you to use your iPhones data to connect to the entune server to check for an update.

Just a heads up the first time you'll need to use the sync cable for your phone connected to the USB port on your truck. It seems as though in previous software versions on entune you needed to be physically connected. After you run the over the air update you can use Bluetooth to use the entune features.
