2016 Taco Line-X front grill

Another option is DIY bed liner instead of plastidip or commercial bedliner. Took a couple of hours and a total of $12.00. Looks great and should last forever.

Buy a 300 grit 3M Scuff Pad and the blue can of Duplicolor bedliner spray and get to work.

Remove and disassemble grill
Use scuff pad and rough up the chrome thoroughly. It looks like stainless steel when done.
Spray light coats of Bedliner from 6-9" from surface moving can rapidly.
Alternate angle of can for each coat to ensure complete coverage. Wait 5 minutes between coats.
Keep spraying additional coats until the can is gone.

 

Any more long term user reports about how the Line-X has been holding up?

Just did my grill yesterday following this procedure. It turned out great!

Looks like a few guys have done the duplicolor bedliner spray. Looks great.
Appears to have a slight sheen in the pics... is this pretty accurate?

 

Here is a close up picture of mine, it matches the fenders of my off-road perfectly. Very happy with the way it turned out. It has only been a few weeks, but it still looks like it did when I did it

Has anyone Line-X’ed the outer grille assembly? Trying to make thieves less able to rip them in half

 

Line-X won’t stop that

 

True, but it may deter them since it has a less flimsy appearance than plastic. Trying to think of something since no one seems to fab them with something stronger.

 

I really like that with the color match logo.
