2016 Tacoma Tailgate Anti-Theft Devices

Just purchased my 2nd Tacoma ( 2016) . First was 1996. Was wondering if anyone has the Make/Model number , or other means, of the best way to deter the theft of my Tacoma Tailgate? I see that the McGard's do not fit correctly. Any suggestions ?Thanks. Appreciate it.

You mean other than the factory lock?

The '16s have a locking tailgate. Or are you looking for more protection than that? The key that came with it is for the lock in the tailgate.

 

Install one of these clamps around the tailgate pivot point and then remove the plastic knob on the clamp. Inexpensive and effective.
