    They have a covered dual connector port on the rear bumper, just to the left of the license plate. I am assuming you have the tow package.

    No ,I don,t have the tow package, wondering if there is a t connector out yet or how to splice the wires in at the taillights ?

    Does anybody know if there's a kit to add the toyota trailering wiring to a truck that doesn't have the trailer wiring / tow package

    My 2016 has the tow package BUT you can't go wrong with the Curt kits. I've installed them on two 4Runners and they plug between the factory wire harness and the tail light so there is no soldering or sketchy scotch lock fasteners. They take about 20 minutes to install. I would guess the factory tow harness from Toyota would cost about four times the Curt kit and would not come with directions. The Curt one is only $57 on Amazon:
