Bilstein 5100's all around 1.5 rear Aal 285/75/16 bfg ko2 1.25 duratrec wheel spacers
i currently got my 17' double cab lifted with 5100's all around(stock springs), spidertrax spacers with BFG ko2 285/75/16.

Ive read alot about the combination of OME 887 with the bilsteins. I love the ride high of the truck now but was hoping to raise the front up a little more, and hopefully improving the ride quality a little more.

Now I've read that some go second notch on the billies (.85) and run the ome 887's to achieve a full 3" up front. If thats so i would prefer to do that but ive also read that its not wise to have this setup any higher than the 0 setting on the billies. Why is that? What are the pro's and cons of this set up. Any suggestions guys?

Sorry im a little new to the truck world and im still learning. Ive read forums and did research but have yet to find a definitive awnser. Thanks for the help!

Pleloading 887's just puts more tension on the shock, check out the 888's

Why has has no one asked yet...

What upper control arm you running? Higher you go the more money you gotta invest. You'll be in UCA required area to fix the alignment on 888's.

887's probably can get it aligned on stocks, but will be close.

I have 5100s w/887s. Front has settled to around 2" of lift, no UCA needed for me both sides came out in spec for caster angle. I would recommend getting the 888s instead of pre-loading the 887s. I've seen more than one person with 888s and stock UCAs, so they might not be needed.

I have 5100 (2nd gen) all around with OME 888, stock UCAs with no alignment issues. Love the ride... actually think it's a bit better than stock.

I have 885s with 5100s and progressive AALs, 885s set to zero with 1/4" spacer on drivers side. A little bit more that 2" lift, COMPLETELY happy with ride.. WAY better than stock.
