I am hoping it looks less bulky in TRD trim (sport or off road) and I really don't think those wheels with car tires work with this example. But I do like the rear and sides from certain angles. But YES, you can still see some 2nd gen under that new skin.

those wheels are just wrong for this truck. Imagine this truck without the Limited cheese trims, nicer off-road styled wheels, real tires, and maybe in a different color? I think it could change the perspective of this new design. And the interior better be killer!

Inside sources at Toyota confirm this was the design inspiration for the new Tacoma front end.

GM celebrates as sales for the Colorado/Canyon will definitely exceed original estimates.

I like the side profile, lines on the hood sunroof.
Tailgate to me has to much of a gap?... or black space, idk, looks weird.
and the grill is too big I think. It will likely warm on me a little bit, and I am more interested about the insides (power train, interior, frame, etc.)

I think all the armor guys are going to have a hell of a time fabing a front bumper with those lines though.. look at how much the grill protrudes downward..

Really thought I would be trading in my 2010..Seriously only way Toyota is going to keep the market share is with 300 horses under the hood. Looks like I'll be keeping my 2010 till the fourth generation.

It's not new, it's not Mexico
Is it just me or does it just look like the current truck with a different grill? :notsure:

Looks like a$$ to me! The front end is hideous, it has a ridiculously large air dam, and the gap between the back door and bed is laughable. Glad I have my 07!

I predict my resale value will remain strong for the foreseeable future! lol

The aftermarket designers will be busy, and once some new grilles and taillights become available; I think this truck has some potential.

I also hear that the Sport and/or TRD OR version may come with a better-looking grille from the factory.

I'm more interested in the things that cannot be easily changed, like powertrain and interior!

I like it overall. Not a sharp departure. I bet 1st gen's said the same thing about the 2nd generation design when it first came out (fugly, lame, etc), ha!

For being a "redesigned" Tacoma, it's really not that far off from the 2nd gen, but I do like the tailgate, the embossed "Tacoma" and lockable tailgate. I don't find it hideous, but like TacomaMike said, I'm sure 1st gen owners said the same thing when 2nd gens came out....

    ...happy with my 13

the 16 looks like it lost some entry angle due to that MPG increasing air dam

    But, no mud flaps ???

overall it looks more like Ford/Dodge and therefore...cheaper

The only thing I like about it they got rid of the stupid 1960s style antenna on the front right fender. I was hoping they would have done away with that years ago. Toyota is kind of behind the curve with that. The rest of it makes me say, "meh". I'm happy with my 2015.

The chances of me giving up my 2010 for this thing is equal to a one legged man winning an ass kicking contest.

    Those wheels look like poop!

Body lines look to much like a 1st Gen Tundra with a facelift from a Early 5th Gen 4Runner & Late 2nd Gen Tundra.

I think it looks bad A! Even though it is lacking ground clearance in the front. But am digging the rear end. I'm just curious as to what engine it's going to have.

DO NOT WANT. Maybe that clear lens on the 3rd brake light allows for a bed light. :notsure: that's about the only thing I might like about this truck.
