A RAR file is a compressed file similar to the old zip files. Mat even posted to download and install winrar to facilitate downloading this file.

so I just put 1.05 on and went for a 20 mile drive. Love the drivability but my mpg's sucked. Does it take the traditional few hundred miles to set in?

 

I did download it I. Isn’t it the red blue and green books stacked up icon. I can see the files in it and then drag the 93 over to pcm flash and get a error. Just don’t understand why it’s different every time u flash

 

Don't drag and drop. It doesn't always work. extract to a folder on your desktop and open the files from there using PCM.

 

There isn't a lot of people with them, and the wait times to get them were so long believe me it's way better without them.

 

I think you need to get rid of the quotes around the file name...

 

And the wait times for the M/T dongle files haven't improved....

Man, Mat, you must have a reason, but I can't imagine a scenario where I would elect to manually send hundreds of emails before scripting something up to automate it. Every piece of the process is software-based, right? If so, then surely someone can whip up some Python or Powershell to automate it. It might take some time, but at least it would be reusable and you'd avoid this scenario of lost holidays and weekends. This sucks for everyone, mostly for you and the folks at OV. Dude, I'll help for free just to do it. I know it won't help this time around, but manually sending emails like this is a scalability nightmare, and if a simple Windows update did enough damage for you to make the decision to delay fixing the software in place of manually sending hundreds of emails, then I'd say there's a good chance you'll encounter this scenario again. I think I need to throw this laptop up against a tree. I’m not tech savvy so I guess the old 1.05 will be fine . The old Bin file worked but this doesn’t. Don’t really have hours to spend. If someone has it converted to a bin (0b04 93) feel free to shoot it my way.

 

Dude, you're almost there. Just don't drag and drop directly from the archive. Extract the file first, then drag and drop.

 

I thought he said it would be closer to 30 than 20 with the changes in 1.05. Where are you at, 25 hopefully?

 

'unzip' the download. The .bin file is compressed within the download.

 

Just don't drag and drop. Like I said it doesn't always work correctly. Some programs handle it differenty or not at all.


Extract the files to a folder, click the ellipsis (button with the ". . ." to the right of where the filename shows) and select the file.
