Consolidating some information here for those interested. I've never had a vehicle where clearing the DTCs would not reset learned values, however Mat alludes to this potentially being an issue with some Toyota ECU's. At least thats how I interpret his comments. I will say though, having to disconnect the negative battery terminal is a bit annoying. Thanks Toyota!

Reflash that I did last Sunday helped and results were better after 200 miles. On a few last drives I had no more than 5 misfires.
So this morning I reset ECU. Started up and it was 0. Went shopping and on the way back had 2 - 0 on startup and 2 while navigating through parking lot.
Took a truck to the hills and it performed even better. Spooled to 90. Zero misfires..
Hope the herpes is cured ...

Not available until new Flash Manager is released.. an update to Gearlock has been posted on the first page. Flash Manager is very very close to complete.

Other than that gear locking is working perfect so it will be available release day of FM update.

Could we get definitions or explainations of each choice? How much more powerful is performance than base? Is 87 performance better then 91 base? How does 4 and 5 feel compared to base? Etc

    1. 1.05 base mpg
    2. 1.05 Performance 87 octane, Stage 1 91 octane, Stage 2 93 octane
    *3. 1.05 Gear Lock map
*4. 1.05 Legacy Shift(All drive modes will use a modified ECT Shift table)
(ECT enhances performance, does not modify shift)
    5. 1.05 6900 RPM

So I don’t have access to a windows laptop. I’m holding out for the handheld. God knows when that’ll be available... My question is does the handheld come with the software pre installed and or does it have WiFi access for future uploads ( in lue of a laptop) or do I still need to find a windows laptop to plug the handheld in for the initial and future software updates?

I have a Mac too. I just used bootcamp to run Windows 10 on my Mac, super simple. :)
No use in waiting for the handheld when you could be tuned now! I’m sure it’s cheaper this way too.

My Mac is 11 years old and limited to 10.6.8. Not sure if I can run windows 10 on the boot camp

There have been many good suggestions for cheap tuning computers mentioned in this thread. At the bottom of the page there is a banner of "Products Discussed" that you can find most of them in.

I have suggested the Lenovo T430 to several people. I own two of these (not from this seller) that I use regularly and are more than adequate. There are of course other cheaper options.

Windows 7 or 8 will work. I run Win 8 on a 2010 MacBook Pro via Bootcamp.
