    Getting excited.
My cable is due on Friday and I sent off for my registry file today.

I drove 11 hrs to king of the Hammers and almost traded the truck in half way. The shifting was terrible and I had lost all interest in the truck. It got better after going ect and S mode but I'm hoping this will bring back the love for the truck as it only has 2k miles on it.

Its biggest saving grace was off road when we had to recover our car after it went out on the far side of the course.

I fell the same way after 1500 miles with my new truck, looked into OVtune for aboout a month. I just couldn't stand it anymore. Been tuned since 3K miles, about to hit 17k. The tune keeps evolving, for the better. Mat has put in a stupid amount of time and effort to get this truck working properly. If you're stock, the difference will be night and day, in my opinion.

    Hello Everyone,
    (OP will also be updated)
New Flash manager is nearly complete and we expect release very soon.
Highlights of new flash manager -

    1. Multiple different tune options can be downloaded (Gear lock, FO tables for MT, etc)
    2. Easy to use, complete all in 1 software that lets you get setup right from it.
    3. New customers > no longer will you have to email and wait to receive tune files. There is only ONE piece that will have to be done. Sending us your SYSTEM ID. After receiving your registration key from us, you can download the tune files immediately after and flash the truck.
    4. This ^^ above will cut down wait times significantly, making this process now a same or next day setup at the latest.
    5. Everything is accessible directly from the flash manager ( Flash tool, Drivers)
    6. FUTURE tune updates will be accessible directly from this flash manager. NO more downloading a new one, no more waiting. Simply run the Update checker in the Flash Manager, it will update and automatically provide any new tune options.

New Flash Manager is going to be a game changer in how we update, release, and provide tunes and service.

    Thank you everyone!

Are most dudes on here running larger tires/lift etc. and getting the the tune in lieu of gears or running both?

Or defaulting ECT shift map when starting the truck (and ect button turns it off).
    Torque table scheduling, disabling

Also, Any progress on this? This and shift lock would be awesome.

Maybe an A la Carte option?

I think there'd be close to an equal amount of those with stock tires and those with larger, with a very small portion of those not running stock gears.

    Edit: corrected misstatement.

It would make more sense if it were a very small portion of those NOT running stock gears. Regearing is expensive af after all, and with the number of people who bitch about the price of the tune (not strictly exclusive to people following this forum, but to include the Facebook groups), there isn't exactly going to be floods of Tacoma owners rushing to spend even more money on a regear when the tune costs at least half of that lol

Wow, mistyped what I meant to say. I agree that it is probably a very small group that are not running stock gears.

I understand and agree. Having done the gears with a stock tune, my complaint with the truck is really only the 3-4,4-3 when ascending long grades. I believe the shift lock would eliminate this as I would be able to give it more gas in fourth. It does great on the freeway especially with the TSB. The MPG’s aren’t great but I can get about 21mpg on the freeway if I stay around 65 but who drives 65 in California? I’d be really curious to hear from more people who have the tune and are running 4.88’s especially once the custom tuning is available
