Good question. Probably ok but I would clear learning anyway to be safe. But that's just me.

Maybe if there weren't 2000 pages of shit here and some actual guides and information there wouldn't be so many noob questions?

Also we can write all the guides in the world but you can’t make someone read them. Step by step with pictures and people still screw it up

all the information you need to purchase, download, and install is in the first post of this thread. This is the OVTune thread. If you have questions about anything other than OVTune's tune, start a new thread or look elsewhere on TW. You'll find threads for.
    TSBs
    Techstream
    Logging Data
    OBD Fusion
    etc.
hell, probably even vacation pictures

if someone answers your question here great, if not use the search function, if you think you're the first person in a 2000+ page thread to have an original thought or question you're either arrogant or ignorant.

    Actually, no.

There’s nothing about the new Flash Manager install and setup. The first post still says “Flash Manager to come.”

You have to go to his website and find the blog post to get pertinent info for the new FM.

DTC’s and learned values are two different things. DTC’s (Diagnostic Trouble Code) has nothing to do with learned values.

DTC can be effectively cleared using OVTunes software or Techstream.

Disconnecting the battery does not clear DTC’s, but does clear SOME learned values. Using Techstream to clear learned values is the best method for clearing learned values.

I believe clearing learned values became a thing when some guys were having idle issues. I believe that most people are doing it now to be proactive, but for most, this practice is unecessary.

I agree. If it were necessary it would make sense to have it be part of the OVTune process.
