Ah i see that explains the issue I had a few days ago. I was under the impression that gearlock was only active while in S-mode and ect would continue to work as usual.

Probably will be transfering over to regular 1.05.1 then.

Anyone knows if if you need to clear the transmission values again if you already did so while initially loading 1.05.1 gearlock? @OVTune ?

Sounds like AV quarantined part of p5. Disable it, reinstall, try again.

I have a 2018 TRDOR stock with the exception of 265/75-16 E rated Cooper STMaxx tires. The only difference I saw between 1.05 and 1.05.1 was in 1.05 performance tune (all octanes) my truck would stumble badly between 2nd and 3rd gear under WOT. 1.05.1 performance tunes do not do this. Otherwise they’re pretty much the same.

I have an ‘18 TRD OffRoad, stock wheels and tires but ECU A60. I haven’t tried any of the 87oct files for 1.05.1 but I can say my truck runs way smoother on 93 base 1.05.1 than it did on 1.05. I ran 91 base on 1.05 with 93 octane and that seemed to be the sweet spot. But so far 1.05.1 is smoother than that. I ran 93 base for about 500 miles on 1.05.1 and just recently flashed 91 base w/93 oct on 1.05.1 to see if it will be the sweet spot for 1.05.1. I reset all the values and did a 5min idle after flashing. I’m going to give this a tank or 2 and how it goes.

I don’t have Techstream but I’ve looked at how to download it and stuff. I didn’t think updated to A61 would make a difference since I’m already running the tune. But I may do it anyways just so it will be done.

The important parts of that tsb are already in the OVtune.

That's why I never thought about updating it. Is there any other reasons to update to the TSB?

Which tune version has everyone tried/liked while towing? I'd be curious if you monitor trans temps and if that affects your decision?

I don’t have a scan gauge or have used anything to monitor trans temps for towing.
Last week I was pulling a 900 lb trailer with 2700 lbs of wood (scale house confirmed). I’m on 1.05 91 base (with 4.88 gears) and it pulled it wonderfully. Even easier with ETC activated but I also tried without.

Edit: I only towed for about 20-30 miles and that was it. Town and highway tho

I’ve been towing my Casita (~2800 lbs) with 1.05 87 base plus ECT. The only temp monitoring I’ve done is via the idiot gauge in the instrument cluster. Seems to run the same as without a load.

I just updated to 1.05.1 91 base and will be towing again next month.

Cool. Loading up my 4,000lb 22' RV for the first time this season and haven't pulled tuned yet. Will update this thread with temps from the Scanguage as well.

Until there is a FOB option for AT, that is a MT exclusive tune.

Yes! Every time ovtune releases a new tune, u don't have to wait. Latest TSB tune always gets it first.

FOB is a manual trans only tune.
And yes, that is expected result with GL in Drive.
