1.05.1 on my 18 TRDOR is a big improvement. 87 base has been very smooth and shifts so much better especially on hills at 55+ mph. The truck is finally shifting and responding to pedal input in a way that makes sense. Can’t wait for erom 2.0! 1.05 felt like I was just trading the quirks of the stock 04A61 ECU tune for different quirks.

I’m about 1000 miles into 91 base and it has definitely gotten better the last couple hundred miles. This has seriously transformed the truck. Still haven’t tried 91 perf or 93 base/perf. Wondering if there’s any appreciable difference from 91

91/93 Perf: Sensitive Throttle. Very sensitive. I got used to mine but most people got annoyed by it, especially everyday traffic driving. So 91 base is the sweet spot for most people.

Yeah, 87 base was a nice improvement over stock and maybe I didn’t give it enough time (~400 miles) but it was pretty subtle. 87 perf was too jumpy and had a lot of unrefined areas. The 91 tune is ready for prime time.

Yup. Very sensitive. Haven’t tried anything else though. Only 91 performance with expensive ass LA gas. Over $4

Which is why even though I’d love to run 91, gas is too damm expensive out here!! 87base for me.

Where I am 91 is 50 cents more a gallon than 87. But 93 is only ten cents more than 91.

I've always had to run 93 octane on previous cars (modified VWs and Audis) so I'm not too worried about the extra $. In Mass it's not that much.. I will be using the 93 octane map since we don't get 91 octane here..

93 performance for me. We have 87-89-93 octane in my neighborhood. I love 93 perf but it is jerky in some instances. So I thinking 93 base may be my next choice. I've tried 87 perf. and 93 perf and both have made my truck something I'm happy with. Anyone have any great results with 93 base 1.05?

Thanks for your input! Yes this machine will only be used for the OV Tune.. I have a desk top at home and I am usually on my MacBook if I am relaxing on the couch. Thank you for your service by the way

Great compared to stock, yes... Great compared to some other vehicles, probably not. Still some quirks that take getting used to, tho Mat has stated that they are being addressed. Personally I'd like to go gear lock but I'm waiting for the tamed down version.

I’m having some issues with my tune. I’ve followed the instructions step by step and support’s instructions. I keep getting “Completed Unsuccessfully” when I flash it. Anyone have a similar issue?

I put a little more effort into it and got the folder excluded. Thanks for the extra encouragement.

Did you choose the right tune for your ecu? Push the start button twice w/o foot on brake so you are in ignition mode?

Ok so Ive been driving stock for a couple days (~100-110 miles) and damn boi! I used to not be able to tell much of a difference, but after going from 87P to stock with 87 it drives like crap. I feel so sluggish. Its a lot nicer in traffic because of the damn tip in on 87p but it is a lot more sluggish. Im flashing to 87 gear lock or base today.

Quick question. Is 87 base and 87gl the same except that in gl you can hold a certain gear on S? Or is driving around in base different from driving around in gl on D?

No. The 87 Gearlock tune is 87 Performance + Gearlock.

OKOK, so if I tune 87GL then Ill be cruising around in Performance, until I shift it into S. Then at S is where the Gear Locking begins. Right?
