Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

I blame Amazon for how impatient I am waiting for things i've bought online to arrive now...

 

I'd flashed 91 Performance and use 91 octane from mostly Chevron.

 

Is it me or is the 87 Performance Tune with Gear Lock to aggressive just a light touch on the pedal and the truck accelerate I've also noticed a slight stumble at 15 to 25 mph

 

@OVTune can u give us a little bit of a approximate timeline on 2.0 weeks or months?

 

No kidding. I ordered something from Amazon a couple Fridays ago at about 8 pm. It arrived on Saturday at about 2 pm. 18 hours after I ordered it. Pretty incredible.

 

For those of you wanting a little insight into 2.0 EROM.... It's worth the wait. I promise. I have been testing it out (minus a few features) on the silver Taco and it is a noticeably different from 1.05/1.05.1. You guys will certainly like how it shifts and holds gears with the new shift logic that @OVTune has wrote out. Please be patient with Mat, Rafael and the rest of the team - Great things are coming for our trucks!

 

That's all I needed to hear. I keep passing that tundra at the dealer ship. Lol.

Bandit, are you testing with stock gears or the 4.88 gear tune?

 

Got mine today. Oh lawd it feels so good. Brought a smile to my face

 

Stock gearing. 265/75/r16 tires on 2.5 inch lift and armor/gear.

 

Anyone familiar with this error? I get a completed unsuccessfully confirmation when it tries to pass “security checks”

 

Well, I’m Pretty sure it’s because I have a USB3 port... unfortunately I only have USB 3 on my computer, I just saw this and it looks like
I might be out of luck

I had that same error a few times. I disabled windows defender and ran the program as administrator and it worked. I think it's a windows 10 problem. I now use a dedicated laptop running windows 7 and haven't had the issue.

 

I’ll second this. Windows 10 is stupid. Especially if you keep it patched and updated. M$ likes to break things on the regular way more now than ever before.

Mine has everything disabled and is only used for flashing.

 

Also, make sure you are in the on position not accessory. (On but not running)

 

Got it sorted, all I had to do was run as admin.

I loaded 1.05, 91-perf and good lawd does it pull now. Squawked the tires just pulling out of the driveway. I’m gonna run this for a few days and might eventually bump down to basic and see what the difference is.

Could someone give me a quick explanation of what the FOB and gear lock tunes are? Are they perf + some other features?
