Flashed 2.0 and went down the highway for a couple miles and WOW! Feels like a different truck!

When i flashed 1.05 a while back i fell in love with my truck all over again. After 2.0 I love it even more.

My truck has a lot of weight and 35s And it still drove great with 2.0, way better then 1.05

Even with ect on, i felt like tip in was barely noticeable, felt normal (maybe I’m use to the tip in lol)

Can’t wait til the final product and my 5.29s to be installed next weekend :bikewheelie:

Thanks for all that you do @OVTune

Just flashed 2.0 and drove about 10 miles. First off, the start from a dead stop is so much better. It really feels like it wants to move. Every shift feels so much more precise. 1.05 to me felt like each shift was drawn out, almost like a slight slip. Another note, I have been running a Meso ECT module since his first drop of them so I have gotten very used to it. With this beta 2.0 I had to turn ECT off, so that it would not gear lock (I really hope the actual 2.0 release isnt this way, so that I can still use ECT if I want). But, even without ECT, the truck shifted and performed very good and I can actually say for the first time in three years that I may not need ECT on all of the time. I am really digging it so far.

According to OVtune it sounds like “S” will be gearlock for the gearlock tunes in the final release ...ECT will remain ECT

Here is the direct answer from mat. I had asked the same question via ZENDesk. Better to use 87 octane 2.0 tune with 91 octane.

"I would recommend use the 87 tune. the Ignition on the 93 octane is a bit high for 91."

He's increased ignition advance on 2.0/93. Saw +31 degrees this morning. Highest I saw with 1.05 Performance 93 was +28.

I forgot to say that I’m running the 87 tune but using 89 gas because we don’t have 91 here.

Downloaded 87 2.0 and the issue I initially observed was I turned out of driveway to go up a hill and the truck acted like it wanted to stall and had no power. The truck limped up the hill and once I got the top started acting fine. This was the first drive in it and it hasn’t done it again.

just for understanding sake, did you let it idle for 10 mins in the driveway after flashing or just update and go?

Did you reset the ECU and or Transmission? If so, that would be the culprit. It can take quite a few miles for fuel and ignition trims to settle in.

Even without resetting the ECU my truck has driven a little weird for the first mile or so after flashing. Then it settles down and is fine.

Correct, resets and let idle for 10 min. Glad it wasn’t anything to be concerned about.

I would not worry about it. Sounds about par for the course. I ran into some similar issues a while back and it ran like complete dog shit for the first 20 miles or so. Proceed to run like a champ for the next 3k until I flashed 2.0. Going strong with 2.0 now and no complaints.

When I very first purchased my truck it stuttered at a light during the test drive. The truck had 3 miles on it. It wa
Yep same here. These trucks do settle after each flash. Expect bad mileage and weird hiccups until at least 300 miles

Always best to reset all values with tech stream if possible. Not required, but it’s ideal to load the new tune on a fresh slate for best results.

Agreed. I've been using techstream to clear codes since I have the OG purple dongle.

You guys already have all hardware to use w/ free techstream. Hook it up and start logging data. Encounter something weird, press spacebar and send file to Ovt.
