Still waiting on a delivery confirmation. Ordered 9/2. Is there a hold up for some reason?

Ive got the GFC, 3 skids, sliders, front/rear bumper, winch, etc etc etc. All steel and so heavy. Running 285/75/17 E rated ko2s. I was getting low 14s before the 2.0 4.88 tune, and low 15s now with the 2.0 4.88 tune.

There is no chance for my truck to ever even get 35's let alone anything larger, so it just doesnt make sense to have 5.29s. The increased highway RPMs and subsequent lower MPGs, is just not worth it to me.

Your highway RPMs at 75 MPH even with 2 overdrives is going to be closer to 3k with 5.29s... its all you if you want that, but for me, im cruising lower than 2500 RPM @ 75 MPH with 4.88s...

For me, 4.88s are where its at.

I hate to continue off topic but this in factually incorrect.

    34’s 5.29’s auto @75mph is 2288 RPM
    @80 2440 RPM

    The delta between 4.88 and 5.29 is 189 RPM @ 80mph @ 70 165 RPM

Thanks for the great build thread @riz_atx

Ok I’m feeling better about my build mileage. What springs/shocks are you running? Fully loaded, I’m planning on around 7,000 lbs when we head out next spring on our drive around the world. My Dobinson springs L59-176 are rated for 1,300 lbs of constant load and are basically flat with an empty truck and camper and have only 1-2 inches of travel until it hits the bumpstop

What calculator are you using for this? I have not found one yet that supports 2 overdrive gears.

    And youre welcome!

Is there a tune available that enables gear hold? Say, I use my shifter to control which gear I'm in and no downshift when floored?

Depends on what was ordered. Tablet/handhelds are 10-14 business day right now, flash kits will ship tomorrow.

Gearlock file enables gearlock for S mode via ECT button.

    2. Has a new method for gearlock implementation.

2.0 has not released yet. No ETA.

We are expecting to have everything caught up and released this month. (Pending orders, exhaust, dump tubes, supercharger kit) beta files, etc.

FYI we are moving to a larger location and shop building construction begins at the end of this month so winter will be..exciting!. We are excited to be expanding and will be adding to the team.

    Another Tuner and customer support.
Once our new shop is finished up the line of communication is going to be different.
I'll be doing development / ecu back end work
New Tuner will be doing tunes / and such
And then customer support for helping people, shipping etc.

Good move. Glad to see you are able to start getting things streamlined. Having a larger dedicated shop will certainly help. Having someone out front herding the cats will let you stay focused on development for sure.

Will there be different octane tunes for the 4.88 tune, or an OLE 4.88 tune?

    Always in process
Drove about 700 miles over the weekend with the latest 2.0 OLE tune and my experience is that the truck was too eager to downshift to 4th. Based on rpms/loading going up hills there were numerous times it should have stayed in 5th but instead dropped to 4th.

Comparing this to the 4.88 2.0 tune previously released the same situations would have me holding 5th gear.

All in all I like the overall driving experience of the latest 2.0 beta release for around town driving. But for highway driving I think we need the shift points modified. Ultimately though I like the option of running different octanes depending on availability so I'll be keeping the OLE tune for now.

I have 33" tires, 4.88 gears, and a lot of weight/drag on the truck.
