Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

If anyone has a 2020 truck there is no charge, we need data off the ECUs.
We don't need proof of trade, etc. just VIN numbers

 

Can someone please expand on how to install the drivers?

I followed the instructions off the website to DL flash manager and I am currently in the registration process (email sent, waiting on license)

 

@OVTune Dump tubes delivered this week,any progress on those tune files?

Yeah, it's tough to keep up! It's not that I'm totally lazy, I would just make a horrible beta tester. I'll trust that all the testers out there will hash everything out. I'm patient for the final product.

 

So I didn’t get an email from @OVTune today nor has the package been dropped off with UPS. What gives man? Again ordered over a month ago, tracking number has not updated for over a week. Are these things going to actually ship or what.

I can't email or update anything right now because I have no power, thanks to the electric company doing something with the lines right now.

Yes I am shipping them, and updating protocol software on them, and going as fast as I can do to so. I haven't had power all day

Hey Guys,

Never had an issue loading a tune before. I haven't done it since 1.05 launched so I downloaded and installed the new flash manager per the instructions PCM Flash launches correctly and recognizes my key. Switch to 46 for the ECU, pick the 19800.pcm file. Checksum passes correctly, it gives me a warning about my battery being at 12.8 Volts, click ok, and then it is automatically unsucessful. Battery is about 3 months old, no issues, just drove for 1.5 hours.

Do I need a new battery to get this done or am I messing something else up?

 

It isn't your battery. I've done mine in the mid 11s with no issue.
Are you sure you are not on Accessory?

Did you try cycling truck off and trying again?

 

I'm not sure if this is the fix, but I saw this a few post back. It might be worth a try.

You also might need to update the drivers​

 

Assuming your user name is location? It's like 7 hours I think
