I'm trying to catch up... did Mat actually say that he's phasing out pcm files for dongle users, or is all of this simply a reaction to the current lack of pcm files on the beta page?

Are there any published instructions for making the switch?

This is exactly what I am getting but a bit lower in rpm (1200ish). I also experienced this from 5th to 6th around 60mph.

This is comparing 19800 87 tune to 16012 87 tune.

    not a complaint, just feedback.

I think it is all speculation at this point. And I believe you just email him. When I bought the tune from a user on here it was a dongle kit and he converted me right over, which I'm fine with.

You do know the only change to the 4.88 tune is a lighter tip in?

yes, I just want to have all the files saved to my backup drives...I like the more aggressive tip-in because in my truck it feels about normal

Mat posted the ONLY differtence between 19700 and 19800 was the tip-in. Not sure if this also applied to the 4.88 tune

If you talking about FM, you still get actual tune files that you can back up in other places. Going dongless doesn't affect that.

I save my files to multiple hard drives on different machines. I know FM does it on the specific machine FM is on, but you never know. I work in IT...seen some things

yah, I thought he was talking about regular tune to 4.88 tune, not 19770 4.88 to 19800 4.88.

    so never mind.

The main thing that is machine specific is the license to download the file and write the tune. Yes. I have the tune files backed up. I am wondering if I will ever convince myself to try 1.05 FOB again. But, it is still there.

What I really want is: 2.0 to fully drop, to play with tune switching, and hopefully eject myself from this hellscape. I'm nearly completely content with our latest 2.0 Beta where I can just drive the truck and forget about these nutty threads.

I am there with you,the latest 2.0 beta for the 04B13 is great on my truck with the 87 version running 91 and the catless tubes. Just waiting on a dump tube tune in 91 at this point. If the dump tube tune is just a 91 version of 2.0 with dump tube specific enhancements I will be tickled pink.

You must have me mistaken with someone else,I have not pulled a trailer yet with the tubes. I did make a trip to the cabin though,130 mile round trip going from 3500ft to 5600ft elevation and it ran like a champ. I could feel the extra power the tubes gave me going up one if the hills that I always had to shift down on,not this time...

Ah crap! I think that I am losing it, but it was your trip that I was think of. Just confused the cabin for a trailer.

At least, I wasn't thinking that you soft-bricked it. :D @Shellshock just thinks I'm nuts.
