Im not a dongle owner. But, this kind of reaction makes me really nervous.
You literally just went back on your word to about 100 dongle owners because of just 1 person.... on a forum?
I’m nervous about what else you might change because you were upset about some comment on a website forum.

Forums are full of trolls, a-holes, and great people. You also don’t get voice inflection, body language, and facial expressions. Things are taken out of context all the time. People also make things up and/or exaggerate the truth.
I’m not saying this to be negative. I’m not upset as I’m typing this. It’s just weird that this emotional knee-jerk reaction is taking place under the circumstance.

I sent a zendesk on April 1 asking how to send back my old dongle so you will no longer have to deal with 2 systems anymore but dont seem to have any response yet on an address to send it to.

Is this changeover something you want to happen now or do you prefer to wait or something?

    Thanks

I have actually talked about having dongle owners switch for... a long time. But I never required it.
Not sure how I went back on my word? By switching for vF? it is the same licensing mechanism as p5f. So they have to anyway. But since a few want to act this way, now they really have to. I have not been disparaging or derogatory towards anyone. I have tried to be accommodating, accepting ideas provided by you guys, and allowed my products to evolve and change to fit your needs. Even molding tunes based on feedback from you guys.
This switch should have been required a long time ago. I think I have been a bit too accommodating to try to fit everyone. I'm not doing that anymore.

Each day it is just getting worse and worse in here. I am burned out by the trolls, but this thread requires my attention.. too often, and it's just a cycle. I don't think people understand the power of their comments. When a new user comes in here interested in our product and sees those comments, without knowing the full history of this thread and how it is a troll, or negativity hot zone, they think we are a bad company.

No kidding I have had people order my kit, then come to this thread, read someone elses comment, and demand a refund, and even file chargebacks. Based on what they have read from this thread. Even the TROLL comments they think are legitimate. I don't think people understand what a comment can do behind the scenes and I just don't want to deal with that anymore.

Remember the guy who joked that my tune burned his truck down? yea you have no idea how that looked to people who didn't know.

I have been mesaging people how to switch for tickets as I see them. I'll message you when I get to your ticket.

Accessory handheld for sale, $150. Brand new, never used. This is NOT the OFT version with a tune. This is the accessory version that requires you to have already bought the full priced tuning package.

I’m a dongle guy, going to sell this to fund a dedicated tuning laptop.

    Venmo or paypal

Edit: I’m taking a $250 dollar loss on this thing, please don’t ask me if I’ll do $100.

I am sorry if I missed where you asked us donglers to change to dongle-less. You probably did and I just didnt notice or recall it or figured it was more work for you. However I do remember back in 1.05 release timeframe that you said NOT to request changing over to dongle-less (at that time at least).

Again if I missed your request, I apologize, but I do feel this guidance (or my interpretation of it) has changed over time.

That's it, keep stirring the crap. Then add your support of other whiners on PM's.

@OVTune As a business owner I know how you feel about all of this, along with the lagal things that come with it. It amazes me how much folks do not know about what damage they can give online can cause behind the scenes, even when you have done what you can to make them "happy". It is very frustrating to deal with entitled folks, especially on an online thread. Keep doing what you do best, and the honest folks know how to wait for your hard work to be shared with the community. Don't worry about the bs, we can't make everybody happy, and keep doing you. Sending positive vibes your way brother!

Thanks. I was interested in something that a user had bought and would recommend. Also I would like to buy before the entire country is out of stock

    My bad.

I got a laptop that had a 2.0 USB port . That was really hard to find. I’m not sure if it’s still required to use a 2.0 USB port, but it was in the past. Good luck!

Chiming in as an original dongle user. I’m happy to move to license based vs dongle and have already asked to do so. The VF incentive was icing on the cake. Looks like A bunch of others will be doing the same now too.

Time to chill for a bit with a good Cabernet.

I'm a dongle user too, haven't been on the forum since 1.5, is the dongle no longer needed to load tunes? What's VF?

He's having dongle users switch to dongless in order to load 2.0 final when it comes out. If you read his posts you can see what VFtuner is.

@OVTune please don't lump all dongle users in the same category as two jackasses. That said and if this is the decision, please advise for how we get switched over to be a non-dongle user and still tagged for the free VF as previously offered.

To the two idiots that brought this on, thanks for ruining it for all of us that were the original backers of this tune.
