I’ve tried both versions that I can find. I’m using x64, don’t know if it matters and yes I have downloaded the drivers from the drop down.

I’ll take another look in the morning.

Just to reiterate, the User is required to perform a HELP - UPDATE (as shown in the pic below, screenshot is from my FM) before trying to flash a new tune. In my experience, this is typically why the Flash It! button is greyed out. It should unlock after performing Help - Update.

Yup, and you are 1.3 not 1.3.3. I had to update to get all the 2.0 goodness for the MT downloads.not sure why 1.3 is newer then 1.3.3 but it is.

I never as I was afraid to lose it. Download the latest and you will have 1.03 FM and the datalogger as well. I just put 1.3.3 one off to the side in a folder after.

Back again. I had to manually install both the guardant and tactrix drivers, they didn't automatically install when I downloaded flash manager. I'm using the purple dongle and pcmflash FYI. I've gotten to the step where I've downloaded my tune file (I have a '17 AT, why is my ecu in the '16 drop down (04B02)?) The problem is, there is no option to flash it on the pcmflash app. My options: Identification, Initialization, Read DTC, Clear DTC, Reboot, and Reset KAM. Only Identification, Read DTC, and Clear DTC are available to press. The others are greyed out. I checked in the tune files and the downloaded file is there. I have the older dongle instructions and the most recent one, and mine doesn't look like either one. Yes, AV is off.

Edit: I haven't been on TacomaWorld for a while, at least not reading through pages of posts, but I took some time tonight. I was unaware that dongles were on the way out, that there was a bit of a die-do (sp?) a few pages back about dongles and transitioning to vf, yadda yadda. If someone has a solution to the above problem it would be appreciated. (I swore that when I had some downtime I would install 1.05, and here we are) I can't mow my yard a third time this week. It didn't need it after the first mow.

    That is the configuration version.
It is the 1.03 software's 1.3.3 config file.
When you download 1.3 software, it's config file resets back to it's lowest value, then goes up again as config updates are pushed.

    ex.
    FM 1.0 (config 1.0.0 to 1.4)
    FM 1.03 (config 1.0.0 to 1.3.3)
    FM 1.3 (config 1.0.0 to 1.3)

Apparently there's going to be a vF Tuner webinar today. I know it is focused on the Lexus RC F, but would it be at all informative or beneficial to us Tacoma owners who are interested in seeing how vF Tuner works? Anyone else considering checking it out?... (Don't know where the link to it is / will be.)

    Join our live Webinar tomorrow.
    - Learn about vF Tuner software for the lexus RC F
    - Learn about the basics of Toyota calibrations
    - Learn the logic, how to tune ignition
    - Learn the most critical aspect, torque modeling for Throttle
    and more!

The webinar is a free live training guide as part of our series of vF Tuner training guides.

I asked this question on Facebook, and OVTune replied that there will be a Tacoma specific webinar once vF Tuner is available for Tacomas.

If anyone does attend this webinar, I recommend staying away from nit-picky Tacoma specific questions. But it might be a useful general overview.

Personally, I'm going to wait for the Tacoma specific webinar in the future and not get confused by other formats.

This webinar is an outline of the software, functions and tuning for the lexus RC F.
there is also a person limit on the webinar.

We will do a tacoma specific one at a later time.

Okay cool! We will look forward to the Tacoma specific webinar then. Sure don't want to take up spots in this one unnecessarily. Cheers!

So I just uninstalled and reinstalled everything and still get the same issue. Does this seem to be a driver issue? It doesn't seem to detect the truck?

When the Tacoma webinar happens, do you think you may put up a video of the webinar for people to watch after the fact?

Correct. Two presses on the ignition button without foot on brake?

also, I have installed the drivers from the drop down menu.

Ya, weird. I'm not much of a computer guy, I'm sure someone will know the answer.
